Hotel Flaubert is a lovely little hotel in a wonderful location. It is a minute away from a beautiful beach. We had a very nice spacious room with a small balcony and it was spotlessly clean and bright and as with everything in the Hotel everything seemed to be in good condition and well looked after.

We hadn't planned to stay in Trouville but loved it and will definitely return.

The only problem was the parking is very limited but we managed to park in a public car park nearby.

The breakfast was served in the bedroom and was well presented and delicious.

If you are going to Deauville and Trouville in France, definitely stay in Trouville the much more charming city. The Hotel Flaubert would be my choice. Lovely htoel, nice people and right on the beach.

The location is fantastic! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The price was good. They offered parking which many hotels in this area did not. The decor does not look like it has been updated since the 50's. Though this "boardwalk empire feel" my husband really liked. It wasn't my taste as I prefer a more modern style though it was kinda neat especially since all of Trouville feels like it is stuck back in time and therefore it fit in well with the town.

We spent our first night of a week's tour of Normandy at Le Flaubert and enjoyed our short sojourn there very much. Trouville is very attractive, with an ambience that is typically traditional French without being old fashioned and the hotel is situated in a cul de sac very close to the boardwalk which runs the length of the well kept sandy beach. There is no restaurant in the hotel but we understood the bar serves simple light meals, however eating out is not a problem as Trouville has many restaurants and bars nearby. Our room was on the second floor and had a narrow balcony with a small table and two chairs overlooking the cul de sac in which the hotel stands and a side view to the beach. The room was reasonably spacious (by French standards) and had a good bathroom with bath and two sinks (but no shower) with the toilet in its own separate small room. The main room was simply furnished with plenty of wardrobe space, the good size double bed comfortable and the lighting quite good, which is not always the case in France. There was a door to the adjoining room which would not have provided much soundproofing had that room been occupied but as it was not we were undisturbed by noise from there or elsewhere.
The staff were friendly and helpful and their English was good so we did not have to struggle with our inadequate French too much.
The only potential drawback is the limited available parking. There is a small car park but it was full when we arrived and remained so throughout our short stay. However, on-street parking is free of charge in the immediate vicinity and spaces did seem to vacate later in the day so it did not present a problem to us, although in the peak season it could be difficult.

We stayed at Le Flaubert while on a 2-week holiday in France this past summer.

Our room was fantastic, the largest of any during our stay in France. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the sea. Watching the sunset from our room each day was a true highlight.

Warning for Americans: the staff at Le Flaubert speaks only a bit of English.

The hotel is literally 50' from the beach...and what a beach. Le Flaubert is in an excellent location.

The better restaurants in the area are just a short walk from the hotel.

The rooms are a bit old in terms of decor, but the location more than makes up for any shortcomings.

Another warning: if you park a car in Le Flaubert's parking lot, be forewarned: the seagulls will love to use your automobile for target practice.

For the money, this is a great seaside hotel.

We stayed here is a family group, escaping the Royal Wedding in England. A delightful hotel. The sea view rooms are comfortable and a good size. We couldn't really fault the hotel at all. Try and get the sea-view rooms with balcony.

We didn't plan in advance spending time in the Deauville Trouville area. We arrived at the hotel and looked at a few rooms and chose a middle of the way/ price range room. We had a very pleasant stay.

They don't really have a dining room, so if you order breakfast they can deliver it to your room (whihc we should have done) or to the bar.
