“St Peter's Cathedral”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

It was peaceful and calm and very beautiful. We lit candles for our family and the guides were very pleasant although not much English spoken. However, you can read a brochure printed in English.

“The real Therese church”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

This is the church that Therese attended when she was a teenager. If you're going to Lisieux in a pilgrimage, don't miss it.

“Another Cathedral”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

The many chapels dedicated to various saints are interesting. It is also notable because of the role its archibishop played in the 100 years war.
But otherwall it's yet another cathedral so it's something you visit on the way to something else, not much to write home about.

“Beautiful with much history of interest to the English traveller”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

I've visited this cathedral many times and still find it awe inspiring. I especially like the chapel built by Bishop Couchon in reparation for having Joan of Arc put to death. Thomas Becket was Bishop here for a while (several relics of his are displayed in the nearby hospital chapel bizarrely!) and some say that Henry II married Eleanor of Aquitaine here too - although some say it was elsewhere.
The architecture is stunning, and there are some beautiful examples of religious art, including a crucifix of about 15ft in length carved out of a single piece of timber.
Inspite of it's size, this cathedral provides a peaceful place for contemplation for tourists and is definitely a must see if you're passing through Lisieux.
