Lovely large room/bathroom, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Gardens are amazing with lots of places to sit and enjoy. Parking round the back of the house with access through the garden. Approximately 3/4 mile walk to restaurants and Monets Garden etc.

I stayed with husband and parents in law in July. Beautifully decorated house, bedrooms and bathrooms full of French charm. Gilles was very helpful. At breakfast we had fresh croissants from the local bakery, bread and lots of good coffee. Big lovely back garden with lots of comfortable shaded seating, I specially liked the day bed!!.
Just minutes walk from Monet's gardens, I recommend to get tickets with Gilles or online and visit early morning to avoid the queues.
We recommend the restaurant Ancien Baudy, delicious food and good portions too. Thank you Gilles, for your incomparable hospitality and sharing your beautiful home.

Room Tip: Our rooms on the first floor were sumptuous, huge bathrooms!!

We stayed three nights. Beautiful bedroom and very large bathroom, very comfortable. Gilles was extremely helpful, both at booking and through out our stay and supplied a fund of information on attractions and restaurants in Giverny. He provided tickets for Monet's gardens which saved us long queues and arranged an early breakfast for us on our last day as we had to leave early. Located close to all the attractions in Giverny.
The hotel itself has a lovely secluded garden - beautifully kept and with shady locations for guests to relax. Very restful after visiting the attractions.
I would be happy to recommend this hotel to friends.

We stayed at Les Jardins d’Helene for two nights in July. I travelled by Eurostar and met five valiant cyclists who’d pedalled furiously from London. Gilles was extremely helpful from my first booking by phone. He immediately agreed to the cyclists storing their bikes in his garage, even allowing them to leave their luggage after check out so they could go off for a luggage free cycle around the area. We were able to enjoy very welcome pots of tea in the lovely garden sitting together under an awning. There are several different seating areas in which to enjoy the garden. On our second day we were even treated to an ice cold bottle of white wine in the garden by Gilles – bliss!

Gilles sold us tickets to Monet’s garden which meant we could go straight in and avoid the crowds queuing to buy tickets. Yes, it REALLY is advisable to get to the garden as soon as it opens, it gets so busy.

Gilles also booked us a table for an evening meal at Hotel Baudy and booked a taxi for me to take me to the station in Vernon. I should have listened to his advice and got a taxi on my outward journey too. It’s a long walk on a hot day dragging a suitcase from the bus station on the outskirts of Giverny to Jardin d’Helene on the other end of the village!

My husband and I were extremely comfortable in Baccarole with a huge bath and our friends were very happy in the family suite. We had free use of the lounge area and the gardens. Breakfast was sumptuous: several different cereals, dried fruit, fresh fruit, yoghourt, cheeses, the most gorgeous fresh croissants from the local bakery, bread, home-made jams. Gilles even provided weak tea for our friends and stronger tea for us. He could have done no more!

We also had a lovely evening meal at the hotel, La Musardiere – very convivial on the terrace. We’ve been to Giverny three times now and much prefer staying overnight there. When all the crowds have gone it’s quite special to walk down the lovely country lane strewn with wild flowers.

We've stayed in a fair number of B&Bs in England, Ireland, France and the US, and Gilles' home is our favorite. We had a beautiful bedroom overlooking the rear garden, with a bathroom the size of most bedrooms. His garden in back is magnificent, with roses everywhere and various places to sit and rest. When we got back from dinner, we found that the other couples staying there were all sitting in the living room drinking wine and talking, so we joined them. Gilles brought out 2 bottles of his own wine at no charge, and we had a grand time sitting around chatting. You can also buy tickets from him to Monet's house and garden at face value, which means you get to skip the line there; Do it. It's a bit of a walk but an easy drive to Monet's house and also to the restaurant at the Ancien Baudy, which I also recommend. Thank you Gilles, for your incomparable hospitality and sharing your beautiful home.

We stayed in the Barcarolle room for two nights. Gilles looked after us wonderfully and was always on hand to answer our questions. There is a very enjoyable walk along a country lane to a choice of restaurants, and, of course, to Monet's Garden.
The place feels very homely: the room and adjoining bathroom are very nicely decorated.
Breakfast was delicious - we especially liked the homemade jam.

This was our second visit to Les Jardin d'Helene. This time we had the family suite downstairs with two bedrooms. Like last year everything was perfect. We had a wonderful time again and I am sure we will return for a third visit. ;-) I strongly recommend this place to anyone!!
