“Wonderful!”

We stayed two nights to begin our tour of Normandy. Danielle was an excellent hostess; welcoming and would do anything for a guest. The accommodations were simple but comfortable, clean and quiet. The grounds were lovely and guests felt comfortable to relax reading a book, enjoy a glass of wine, or reflect on the sights of Giverny. The breakfast was excellent and it was like being a guest in a home of a friend. We plan on returning and will stay here again.

Le Clos Fleuri was just what the doctor ordered after a long, cold winter in upstate NY. The grounds are beautiful, the room was fabulous and large. Danielle was so helpful and down to earth. She recommended we visit a private garden on the way to Rouen which turned out to be extremely beautiful and completely non-touristy.

The B&B was a short, lovely walk to Monet's gardens and to dinner. I also slept like a rock in the comfortable room. Can't say enough good things about our stay. Thank you Danielle.

Room Tip: Sorry there is no pool or room service but I couldn't turn it off.

We did and so glad we did for six nights, and wish it had been longer. Danielle made us feel so welcome from start to finish. There was a glorious smelling rose in our room which was replaced with another after a couple of days along with towels and sheets. Danielle always came up with suggestions at breakfast time of how we could spend our day and made dinner reservations for us and our friends who had joined us from England. We purchased our tickets for the Gardens and also the Exhibition which saved precious holiday time. Also, being in the village it was great to be there at each venue at opening time which enabled us to be ahead of other tourists.

Our visit took place at the end of our trip through Germany and France and what a finale! We are now back home in Vancouver getting over jet lag, but I had to make time to write this review.

Room Tip: Go for the large family room with a separate dining room downstairs overlooking the garden ... perfe...

All of the wonderful reviews on TA are spot on. Le Clos Fleuri is a wonderful bed and breakfast in a lovely setting with a beautiful garden. Danielle was such a gracious and helpful hostess with a sensitivity to our particular interests. After talking to us about what we had in mind for our short time in Giverny, she directed us to restaurants and exhibits that were perfect for our plans. She even showed us a short cut through the side streets to the gardens.

We are hopeful that we can return and spend more time in Giverny and Monet's gardens. If we do, Le Clos Fleuri is the only accommodation that we would consider.

We stayed only one night at Le Clos Fleuri in Giverny, but wished we could spend a week there! Danielle and Claude are wonderful hosts, and their home is a perfect spot for a visit to Giverny. It is a bit apart from the center of this small town -- and that suited us perfectly. Our strolls in and out of town -- especially walking home from dinner under a full moon -- were among the most memorable expoeriences of our trip to France this year. With everything in bloom in the warm weather, strolling through the delicious fragrances of Giverny was unforgettable. The house and garden in which we lived was clean and comfortable, warm and friendly and perfectly restful for two weary travelers. Danielle recommended excellent restaurants for dinner, and her breakfast was ample and delicious! We eagerly look forward to our next visit to this lovely home!

Room Tip: One feels like you are in your own home -- even better!

We stayed only 1 night on our trip through France - wish we had booked for more. Danielle is a wonderful hostess and knows how to treat her guests. Our room was amazingly large with a huge bathroom - both very unexpected in most European towns. The grounds of Le Clos Fleuri are gorgeous with lovely lawn and gorgeous flowers all around. A lot of love has gone into her place. Danielle is so helpful - from tickets to the gardens and galleries on site, to recommendations on the "best" restaurant in town. We loved there was tea/coffee in the room for our morning and also the biggest, fluffiest towels in all of France! Thank you Danielle for a lovely stay - we will be sure to tell all our friends. And if you are reading this on TA, look no further......book now!! ; )

Room Tip: Book early to get a room - not a large B&B.

After an intense week of sightseeing in Paris and Normandy, we felt like we'd arrived in paradise at Le Clos Fleuri. Danielle and Claude have a picture perfect property that is a short walk to Monet's Gardens. We relaxed for two nights which was a perfect way to end our French vacation. Danielle is a thoughtful and helpful hostess. When she heard us make evening plans with another couple who were staying there, she set up the covered patio with candles and a bottle of wine for all of us. She also offered discounted tickets for both the Gardens and the Impressionism Museum so we wouldn't have to stand in the lines. The B&B rooms are clean and large and very comfortable. I've already recommended this property to one of my co-workers who is going in the summer. I wish I could return to Giverny just so I could stay here again. I would definitely return.
