Start your visit to the house and garden of Claude Monet here. Always a beautiful exhibition of the impressionist art. This time about Paul Signac. beautiful paintings. Always nice to see little scool-children and their teacher in a French museum.
The restaurant is also nice. When the weather is good, you can sit in the lovely garden.

But generally underwhelming. A fair amount of Signac, but very little else of significance. I guess being in Giverney, I expected more. Maybe that was the problem, not the actual museum.

The last time were here, the museum seemed interesting but mediocre. With the changed mission--to feature Monet and his influence, it is far more appealing.

My husband and I love French impressionist art and were looking forward to visiting this museum. The Signac exhibition was interesting, but the permanent collection is small and was quite disappointing to us. Compared to the gift shop at Monet's Garden, the gift shop at this museum was not a good experience either.

The current exhibition highlights the career of Paul Signac. A stunning collection of his works throughout his life. The lower gallery has a small exhibit including Monet and Sisley. Very well worth a visit but get there early to avoid the coach tours and the very pushy guides.
