This was right across from Monet's home. The restaruant was decorated with flowers. We were able to eat out side. The food was great. Very relaxing.

We took a chance since we were hungry after touring Giverny and had a wonderful French lunch with good wine and service in the outdoor dining area. The flowers were still blooming all around us in a riotous unruly bunch.

After leaving Monet’s House and Gardens, we were hungry and had a little time before the bus back to the train station. Les Nympheas menu looked suitable and the building looked quaint, so we chose it for lunch. We were seated in a back room that looked like a converted old barn, quite lovely, inside but with plenty of light. Lunch was tasty Norman cuisine. It’s not a “don’t miss”, but it’s a good place for lunch if your visiting Giverny.

The restaurant is located right outside the Monet house and garden so touristy prices are expected such as the menu about "Monet's favorites'. We opted for the regular French food. I had the Monet salad that had generous servings of salmon and avocado. We were seated at the back of the restaurant overlooking a backyard. Try not to stay on the main dining room because it seems to be always full and noisy.

Outside there's a homemade ice cream vendor truck. I enjoyed the chocolate and apple flavors :)

We ate here after touring Monet's home & gardens - it's the first place you come to, next to a carry-out place. We were shown to a table for 2 in the back area which was light & airy, although enclosed. There is a small outdoor eating area in front;a tour group was having lunch inside. My quiche Lorraine was tasty, although a bit salty due to the large amount of ham. I think I'd try the vegetarian quiche next time. My husband had the meat & cheese plate which was ample & diverse. Service was good - we arrived before the crowd. Prices were what we'd come to expect in France.
