Stopping just outside Monet's house we expected to be ripped off and get so-so food. We walked thru a car park to get in and were pleasantly surprised by a lovely garden setting with white iron tables and chairs and umbrellas where needed

Quite the opposite! We both had a seafood salad - absolutely amazing with smoked salmon, crumbled crabmeat topped with caviar over very fresh greens, mushrooms, green beans and white asparagus all mixed with a wonderful fresh dressing.

Don't miss dessert - awesome sorbet's. We had apple sorbet drizzled with Calvados and pear sorbet drizzled with a pear liquor. Amazing but the pear outshone the apple.

All this with a nice bottle of Bordeaux about 60 Euro and worth every penny.

Be forewarned - bees like both flowers and wine. If you're allergic be sure to eat inside! They were there first.

This fine cafe, located just across the street from Claude Monet's house, provides a fine lunch with excellent service and reasonably priced.

A jaw dropping visit to the amazing Claude Monet house and gardens was topped off with an amazing lunch overlooking the quaint Norman courtyard. Organic lunch menu was fresh and tasty, returned later for delicious ice cream in the gardens, where we happened to spot Pierce Brosnan finishing his lunch!

It's just across from the exit from Monet's house, inside and to the left of the car park. Or turn left from the exit and it's a hundred yards down the street, facing the car park. Good food, pleasant service, reasonable prices for the location. We liked it.

After visiting the Claude Monet Gardens we stopped for a lite lunch. I had the Quiche and my spouse had a salad €12. The waiter was friendly and provided us with good service. The outside seating was very nice with some atmosphere.
