Great place for a salad, soup or omelette after a morning visit to Monet's house. Eat on the terrace for great ambiance.

Go here for the atmosphere, not the food. The outside terrace is charming, and the rose garden behind the hotel is beautifull. Sevice is good, but the food is very mediocre

Not only is the food very good (we had the warm duck salad - loads of duck!), but make sure that you ask to see the garden and the studio behind th restaurant. Access is like Alice in Wonderland, through a non descript door painted like the wall. Sheer magic beyond, I will let you find out for yourself! The atmosphere inside the restaurant is absolutely pure French, and should savoured, listened to, and inwardly digested along with the gorgeous food. Desert choice a bit limited, but after all that duck, well ......

This restaurant was recommended to us by a native of France, and eating our lunch on the terrace outside was just perfect after a morning among the flowers. Has a fun history of visiting painters staying there who worked with Monet.

Having had the worst meal ever in Montmartre the day before visiting Giverny,we were a little apprehensive about being part of a captive clientele in a tourist attraction village.
but what a contrast. We only wanted a light lunch, so I chose the " 3 cheeses " from the desert menu. Wow ----- beautiful Normandy cheeses, so much that my husband ( who was equally impressed with his charcuterie selection ) had to help me out by finishing it.

The shady garden setting on a very hot day was delightful, and we walked in the hotel rose garden afterwards. The garden is so big that maintaining it must be huge task, so is in need of a little TLC, but is delightful nevertheless.

Definitely a must go to if you are visiting Giverny
