Not right in the heart of town but next to the horse racing track this tiny family run restaurant won us over mainly due to the staff. Obviously no stereotypes here, but very warm and charming and so engaging. Menu offers ether a set at 37 euro or individual dishes at around 15 euro and quite delicious. You might be thankful of a walk afterwards as three courses is both filling and rich. Would go again.

We decided to go to this restaurant because we saw that it was rated number 1 on Trip Advisor. Yes the food was good but I am in the restaurant right now and we were waiting 45 mins to get our starter. The waitress didn't have a clue and was more busy preparing the tables for the next day than attending to customers actually there. Let's hope that we were just unlucky that night as they were clearly understaffed. So yes for the food NO for the service.

My wife & I where staying in Deauville for 2 weeks a wonderful place with many fine restaurants but Le Yearling stood out as the very best.

The food was superb, excellent service and with a wonderful ambiance on top of that the prices are very reasonable. We shall defiantly be returning on our next visit to the area

We decided to give the Le Yearling a try after reading some good recommendations. It was the right decision. A very nice place next to the racecourse - still walking distance from the city centre. We had a 3 course menue with Oysters, cod and creppes for 21 Euros - the food quality was excellent and the service was perfect. We enjoyed this evening on the first day of our holiday trip very much.

Close to Deauville racecourse and the auction house for racehorses Le Yearling offers especially excellent value if you stick to one of the fixed price menus, as little as €18 for 3 courses, but you can also go wild a la carte, if you've had a good day at the races, and indulge in lobster. It serves traditional Norman food, well prepared and well served - regardless of how much you are spending. It has an excellent wine list, and little touches like "amuse bouche" to get you started and a sorbet to clear the palate are much appreciated.
