Pluses: low price, decent breakfast for 10 euro. clean.
Minuses: minimal services, studios are small, beds are Murphy beds with minimal mattresses. Bathrooms OK but small towels, etc.

Location is not great but only 10-15 min walk from center of town. Good IF you have a car.

This hotel is in a great location for visiting Normandy. It is also in a great location for enjoying time in Caen. The rooms are very big and come with everything you need, i.e. full kitchen, safe, etc.
The only drawback was that there was no internet in the rooms and the wifi connection in the lobby was very slow (like dial up).
The rooms are quiet and there was no noise disturbing our sleep.

We stayed here for a week after driving over from Bruges and had chosen this hotel because of the great reviews but for us it was not as good as what we were expecting. On the plus side it has plenty of parking, staff are friendly and it's a good base for exploring Normandy by car and there is a newly built shopping centre a couple of minutes walk away with nice restaurants - definitely go to Cafe Marcel! But it's a 15 minute walk from the centre and not in a particular nice part of Caen.

As we were staying for a week we had booked a one bed apartment but there were just too many things not right. Firstly there is a horrible smell in the kitchen, the mattress is really hard, the wardrobe door was broken and the safe didn't work. There's climate control for both the living room and bedroom but only reception can change the settings, so we had to ask them twice to turn the heat setting off. The bathroom is large and spacious but really badly planned. The toilet is separate so there's only the bath and sink. There's room for a separate shower but they've added it over the bath but the wall sticks out much there's only a tiny space to stand, so much so, you have to stand sideways to wash your hair! If you stay for a week you don't get a cleaner, I think once during the stay would have been nice to freshen the apartment up.

This is actually an extended-stay hotel, complete with kitchenette, living room, shower room, and bedroom. It was a great value for the money. Also was right in the middle of Caen so you could get to all the sights within just a few minutes walk. I would stay here again if I'm ever back in the area.

We stayed in early june for 5 nights and had an overall great time. we booked an appartment for two, and entered a very well designed hotel. There is a hallway when you enter the apartment with a wall closet and hooks for your wardrobe. The kitchenette is complete with dishwasher and has everything you need to prepare a quick meal. The bed can be folded up and turned into a couch, if you wish to do so. Under the desk sat an extra table that can be pulled out so that two people can comfortably eat a meal. The rooms all have AC and heating which is not the norm for Europe (AC). All the appliances were very quiet. The bathroom was much larger than in other european hotels and there was a huge floorleveled shower. Everything was very clean. There is a laundromat and a small fitness room. Wifi is only accessible from the lobby, the connection in the room is very slow and you will need a cable. Caen might not be the prettiest town in Normandy but it is a good central point for day trips and sightseeing trips. Plus it has several shoppingmalls in the outskirts.
The only thing we didnt like was our window facing the backyard, but thats a small matter. Overall, this is an awesome place to stay!
