We had the good fortune of obtaining the services of one Vanessa Letourneur for touring the Normandy Beaches recently. She has worked at various museums incl the one at Caen. Her recall of events, geography statistics etc was amazing. She also was very customer friendly and always responded positively when possible, if we asked for a particular deviation or explanation.
Vanessa may be reached for small group tours or private tours at Normandy Panorama.com. We truly feel that this is one of the best tours we have ever taken anywhere! Dick Brooks, Phillips, Maine

Incredible! I am an Air Force officer who was well-read and familiar with the D-day events...Vanessa brought it to life! She provided the lesser known facts of the invasion and impacts on local community...this is a must-do tour for a real appreciation of what happened on June 6, 1944

Did a half day tour of the landing beaches with Panorama. Sabrina gave excellent background during the drives and thoroughly enjoyed her hospitiality. It is so great to learn of American history outside the U.S.

We had our full day tour of Normandy with Sabrina. What a treat! She not only knows her history, she loves her history - and it is evident as she shares! She is so good that we are going to try and use her for our student tour next year to Normandy. Thank you Sabrina for a wonderful day!

We booked the half day tour of Normandy with Normandy Panorama and didn't regret it. This was the second trip we had made to Paris in the last six years and we wanted to do something different so decided on the D-Day sites in Normandy. We took the train out of Paris and it was a comfortable two hour ride to Caen. From the train station it was a 20 minute walk to the pick up site. There was also the choice of taking the tram directly to the pick up point. Sabrina was our guide and driver. She uses a nine passenger van so it is an intimate tour. Everyone has a chance to ask question and get thorough answers from Sabrina. The other three couple we were with had never met, but we soon became a very compatible group. At the various sites Sabrina would explain what we were seeing and then give us 20 minutes or so to explore it on our own. This was a treat. Our group was very punctual so we kept our schedule and unlike the large tour buses, we didn't waste a lot of time boarding and deboarding. John, at 78, was the oldest of our group. John used a cane and had several knee surgeries. Sabrina took this into account and John was able to enjoy everything and not hold the rest of the group up. We highly recommend this approach. There is the whole day tour. We figured that would require us to be in Caen two nights. The half day tour a great oversight of this important part of history.
