Went with wife (American) and brother & sister-in-law (French). Food very average, atmosphere fussy and trying for an elegance they didn't achieve.

This was a wonderful dining experience. Staff were wonderful, and very helpful. The cheese trolley was great!

Crepes Suzette was very well done. A worthwhile experience.

Based upon previous reviews on TA and as I was staying next door, I thought I'd sample the fare, here. First impressions. ... Closed on a Sunday and Monday was not a good start. (What do residents do?) Upon return, a warm welcome to a 'quaint', comfortable, old worldy-like dining room. I liked this.
The service was professional - courteous and efficient. I'm no expert on foi gras so cannot comment - other than I liked it. My steak was done as requested and just to my liking. I (foolishly) declined the cheese and was thoroughly entertained by the Grand Marnier, crepes suzette being spectacularly prepared at my table!
While I enjoyed the meal, I thought it was a bit on the expensive side at 90 euros (including wine) - it seems that if you, niaively, accept a 'set' menu, that's what you pay for.

I was staying at the hotel, in a cozy room right at the top.
Dinner was a pleasant surprise and better than I expected. A starter of six plump and juicy Isigny oysters in a warm broth- among the best first courses I've had in Normandy. Main course was a mix of bream and sole fillets with legumes- OK but nothing special. Dessert an apple tart. Overall, not good enough to be 1* Micheling but not far off either. 3 courses at 23 Eu, good value for the quality of food.
