We stayed one night in Hotel Le Bayeux in November. We found the hotel warm and inviting and the manager extremely courtious and helpful. They have secure parking as street parking could be hard to find. The location is excellent. An easy walk to most sights such as the Tapestry and the Cathedral can be seen from the hotel. Ask the manager about the wonderful restaurant that serves you a complimentary drink with his card. Truly good food and service and recommended in Rick Steves Guide as is the Hotel. The breakfast buffet was a good value and tasty. For a nice Normandy experience in a wonderful city we highly recommend Hotel Le Bayeux. Bayeux is one of our favorite cities in Normandy. May I add that the beaches are an easy drive from Bayeux. Try it...you will like it.

Room Tip: There were 3 of us, me, my husband and our female friend. We had booked a triple room with 3 single beds. Our friend had hurt her knee so we emailed the hotel and requested a "family room" which consisted of a king size bed, single bed, and bunk beds. The room was large and gave us more room to spread out. Most of their rooms are on the first floor so there is no climbing stairs except for breakfast which is up one fight of stairs. This hotel is quiet at night as it is in the old section and on a quiet street. This room was off the lobby but quiet as the desk closes at 10:00 pm. They have excellent internet and English TV channels. I would think all the rooms are quiet the way this hotel is laid out as none of them face the street.

We stayed 1 night! Very good location; in walking distance of everything! The staff were very helpful! The breakfast was excellent! The room was very tight for 3 people. We were given our room before the bathroom had been cleaned :-( Not bad pricing!

Le Bayeux is an ideal hotel for visiting all places of allied landing in Normandy. The staff is very helpful in telling you which places you have to see. Nearby to the cathedral and to the Bayeux Tapestry you can reach best restaurants by walking. Hotel is clean, breakfast is adequate. If you don't need a first class hotel, Le Bayeux will satisfy you.

I stayed for 3 nights in October, 2012. The staff was helpful and friendly. It is in a good location, walking distance from restaurants and shops in the town. Very quiet. A good hotel to base out of and visit Normandy. No complaints.

We stayed 2 nights in October, 2012. The hotel was simple, clean and comfortable. The large, stuffed tiger on the bed was a treat! Breakfast was varied and plentiful. We stayed here due to proximity to the Bayeux Tapestry and Cathedral, both within easy walking distance. We would stay here again.
