“Excellent location, comfortable room, friendly staff.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013

We stayed for three nights, and were very happy. There were quite a few stairs up to our room, which was on the top floor, but we didn't mind. The room was very clean and comfortable, and very quiet, which was great. The restaurant runs from early until late at night. We had dinner there on our first night, and it was very reasonably priced, and delicious. Staff were very helpful and friendly, one waitress even lent us cutlery so we could have a picnic. I would definitely recommend!

Stayed here for 4 nights and would stay a lot longer, small Hotel I believe 14 rooms which just adds to the character. Staff is very friendly, food was fantastic and prices were very reasonable. A large selection of restaurants are no more than a 10 minute walk away.

The location would be hard to beat. Normandy tours start within fifty meters of the hotel. All city sites are within walking distance, and free parking is available within three blocks. We had two rooms. Lack of AC makes the hotel a dubious choice for August. Noise from the street and the (excellent) hotel bar means that you should expect to stay up until at least 23:00. Mattresses, while not quite uncomfortable, could stand an upgrade for next year. Staff and hotel owners are first rate. Restaurant is very good. View of cathedral is superb.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not front to rue Larcher or overlook the bar/restaurant.

When I saw only two stars on the hotel I was a bit worried, but it was a very good choice given our time there and need for central location. The room was quite small, but the beds incredibly comfortable and the bathroom quite modern and convenient. Towels were a bit skimpy in size and quantity. Unfortunately, we had room #9 which was up three flights, but the check in person carried my oversized bag for my husband. This place couldn't be more convenient for the Overlord Tours (around the corner) or the Tapestries (down the street). Parking was a block or two down but we didn't need the car for our tour, visit to Tapestry or convenient retaurants. An excellent choice at a reasonable price for France.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the front. A bit noisy but no problem when a/c was on.

Right in the center of town, close to everything. We stay here because we were going to the D-Day beaches. Most of the tours started within a block of the hotel.
The rooms were neat and clean, the staff was always friendly, there were plenty of restaurants in the immediate area.
Although we never had lunch or dinner there, the restaurant was always crowded.

Good choice for a stay in Bayeux. Location is close to town, close to departure point for tours, and short walk to the car park. We did not eat dinner hear, but did have drinks a couple nights and breakfast one morning. Service good, but always seemed rushed. Our room was in the annex which was a good choice as it was quieter. We sprang for the suite, as we wanted room to spread out for 3 nights. I would book again if returning.

Very happy with this hotel. The room was very clean and while not large it was more than adequate. We had dinner in the restaurant and the fish soup is still on my list of favorite meals.
A car park is opposite and we were luck enough to get one of the dozen or so spaces. Happy to stay again .
