I apologize for the delay here, I thought I entered this in years ago. But in September of 2015 we had hired Eric for two days of tours throughout the Normandy Beach area. His knowledge was superb, his enthusiasm unmatched, and he had a clear love for the Second World War and the Normandy Invasion.

Highly rated and I would recommend Eric to anyone interested in a private tour.

Eric our tour guide was absolutely wonderful, witty, and excited to share with us his abundance of of knowledge. We did a half day tour that included Pointe du hoc, Omaha beach, American cemetery, WM60, and gold beach. We took the train from Paris to bayeux where he met us. I would definitely suggest this tour to others

May of 2015 My niece and I experienced a tour with Eric to Mont St. Michele, and then traveled to Normandy but Eric made a stop to a small restaurant on the way where we experienced some great local cuisine. Then on to Pointe Du Hoc, Omaha Beach and the American Cemetary. Eric knew I was U.S. Military and another in our group and made a point of us being present for the lowering of the Colors at the cemetary and that was amazing. I failed to review that trip but had the opportunity to head back on a vacation over Christmas of 2016 with my girlfriend, two nieces, and my sister and another tour was a must and requested Eric again.... He did not disappoint. His passion, and knowledge is incredible. We went back to Pointe Du Hoc, Omaha Beach, American Cemetary, WM 60, gun emplacements and Gold Beach. Eric went above and beyond in my opinion. He had more and different stories to tell about certain individuals from the invasion and others who served and/ or perished in Normandy. I admire his passion and his enthusiasm brought chills several times. If we want to see where it all happened and learn a ton at the same time... I highly recommend. Also, Eric likes to ask some Normandy specific trivia on the ride between spots and that is fun...never a dull moment. Thanks for two memorable tours,,,,,

I think whatever I have to add has already been covered. Gold Beach is the middle beach head between Juno and Omaha. You can still see the remains of the engineered harbor that extended all the way down from Omaha Beach. During low tide these silent steel and concrete monuments rise 8 to ten feet above the water line.
They have organized tours to this and other beaches, but I don't think they are worth it.
We just walked around as we knew the history of the places.
