“Mind-blowing.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2013

This is perhaps one of the most impressive pieces of history I've ever seen. Great exhibit, great short film to prime you to seeing the tapestry. Not too expensive and takes only an hour or so. Absolute must-see.

“Worth visiting on a chilly, rainy day in Bayeux”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2013 via mobile

We ended up at the museum because it was a rainy day in Bayeux in September 2012. The museum is literally across the street/courtyard from the newer Bayeux hotel, Hotel Laura. Much to our surprise, the tapestry was interesting, and the audio tour (move at your own pace) tells the story. There is also a movie worth watching in the museum. And there are also displays on another floor of the museum that give you and idea of how they lived. All in all, a worthwhile adventure that we stumbled upon.

“Wow! Incredible work of art!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2013

Don't miss this incredible work of art. Incredibly cool, impressive and interesting! They also give you a free audio guide which is super helpful because it points out all the intricate details of the work. It is worth every penny. Don't miss it! We visited in November and basically had the whole museum to ourselves.

A most remarkable museum. Well worth the time to visit.
Very near the hotel Lion d'Or.
Be sure to see the movie about the tapestry's history.

“Well worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 23, 2013 via mobile

This was my second visit, my first as a school child, now as an adult living in Paris. This time around, audio guides are available free of charge and are a must to fully understand the tapestry. Very informative and well voiced. An enjoyable museum. As a tip, buy the combo ticket to the WWII Museum.
