“A museum that gives an overview of the whole campaign”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

This museum puts all of the beaches into context, and allows for the fact that many nationalities were involved.
The Cemetery across the road is well worth a visit
as is the Journalists memorial
makes the whole area connect ...

“Very informative”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

We walked to this museum from our hotel. it is probably about 20 minutes, at most from center of town, but it gives you another glimpse of the town. We really liked the museum. It gives a broader perspective of the Normandy battle(s) so it isn't just D-day and the beach invasions. well worth the time.

“Very interesting, worth a visit”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

I visited this museum, along with my husband and two teenage sons. The entrance price was faiir - I think about 7 or 8 Euros each? I can't remember exactly.

It isn't a huge museum, but there is certainly a lot in there. All the exhibits are laid out in order of countries involved in the second world war.

There is a 20 minute film which runs throughout, it detailed the building of the Mulberry Harbour.. There is also a shorter slide show in the other theatre.

We also spent a while browsing in the gift shop area - and bought a couple of books which were not bad value.

I think we all learnt quite a bit from the visit.
