A well-laid out museum displaying maps, weapons, vehicles, and so forth, that were employed in the invasion of Normandy and the subsequent fighting.

There are many reasons to visit this area however as an American the primary reason should be the Museum. One can't help but to feel the anguish that occurred on those beaches.

This museum is well worth a visit - we wished we had come here first before going on our tour of the beaches. The layout was good and the film was informative - the fact that it alternates between English and French showings is helpful.

So much to see and read of the assault on Normandy. Large exhibition of so many items of kit and materiel used in 1944.

A must see visit if in the area but somehow we would have liked to see more of the locals affected by occupation and the aftermath of 4 traumatic years.

We loved it all and left us understanding the events of June 1944
