I used this hotel for an overnight stay on the way to Brittany. I wanted to call in and see the Tapestry. It was very modern, clean and comfortable and I couldn’t fault it. Be aware that if you use Google Maps to find this hotel, the last bit of the route it will give you is incorrect. It will lead you to the Rue du Parc d’Eindhoven. The hotel is actually on the roundabout at the end of the Rue Saint-Patrice and is accessible as you turn into that road. It is the first left as you come off of the roundabout.

This hotel is okay. Location is decent but we needed to drive into town as weather was questionable. Wasn't a problem but thought it would be good to post.

Found hotel to be very clean but a little worn out. The carpet was very grungy & we could not bring ourselves to walk on it without shoes.

Room is a good size. Bathroom has a separate WC & shower so that was handy.

Staff was friendly & helpful.

We would not stay here again as found it to be a little too basic & worn out for us.

This hotel was chosen by the tour operator as the best available. Our group of 20 or so was on a tour of the Normandy beaches which participated in the D-Day landings of 1944. The hotel was located above the town square, about a kilometre away. Bayeux itself had a number of attractions for tourists, including its famous tapestry, the story of William the Conqourer. A beautiful stream complete with waterwheel and mill, a magnificient church and a good variety of shops including a coin laundry. I was allocated my room, and proceeding upstairs. The room, unusually had two doors. Opening the first door, one entered a small space adjacent to the WC. Opening the second door, enters into the bedroom. To my surprise there was someone in the bed. Oops, backoff, down to reception. ' What is the problem?' said my tour leader? 'There is someone in my bed!' I was quickly allocated another room. The three night stay proceeded without further incident. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant provided a fine breakfast and the limited evening menu was of an excellent quality.

Novotel was clean, brightly lit, has a bar and a restaurant. We arrived late (9:15pm) and they kept the restaurant open for us. Good food, great service. We never felt rushed.

The rooms were basic and very clean. We had a rather warm night and the air conditioning seemed to be controlled centrally - not sure what that was all about. There were however, two bottles of Evian waiting for us in the room 'fridge - always a nice touch!

The location is a little outside of the downtown area, an easy drive but a bit of a walk.

Elevator accessible.

We would definitely stay here again. We also were traveling with an 8 month old, they had a crib with fresh linens in the room by the time we were done with dinner.

I just spent a night at the Novotel on my Tour de France. I really liked this hotel. It was easy to find, had good parking and internet access. It's only a short drive into the city center and on the night I was there parking was no problem. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the room quiet and clean. Bayeux is a good choice if you are touring the D-Day beaches. It's a French city that one can easily drive in, but staying just outside of the city center makes parking that much easier. I have no problem recommending this hotel.

I stayed here with a group of 34 kids and adults for two nights. The rooms were quite comfortable and larger than most I have stayed in in France. The reception area was welcoming and the staff very helpful and spoke English well. Breakfast and dinner were served (for the group) buffet style and many of the pickier eaters of this group were able to find something that they could eat. Since this was booked by our tour company, I really have no idea how much it cost, but it was well worth it. I would stay here again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We stayed one night before our D-day tour which departed from Bayeux. The hotel was very easy to find as we drove in from Dinan. Although the hotel is within walking distance of downtown Bayeux, it was raining while we were there so we parked at one of the free parking lot just behind the Bayeux Tapestry museum and explored from there.

Our room was very spacious! Including a queen size bed and double pullout couch, both of which were comfortable. The in-room refrigerator was very convenient especially considering the huge supermarket just down the street. I'd definitely recommend this hotel if you have a car.
