This restaurant was recommended by our B & B host Wil at La Tour Louise. Our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. We both had La cocotte Staub garnie de filets de poisson... which was superb. Linda the host was extremely welcoming especially since we had booked about 3 weeks in advance from Australia. Merci beaucoup.

We arrived at CDG on Saturday morning, then headed straight to Bayeux. La Rapiere was our first dinner in France. Our meal was nothing less than outstanding! We had the wine special of the evening (one of the wines produced by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie). The restaurant is in a rustic old house, but then again, this would be pretty common in Bayeux! They pride themselves in providing fresh ingredients from the region. It's a very busy place, so advance reservations are highly recommended.

A most pleasant two room restaurant in a quiet side street. We had a very leisurely seven course dinner, served by courteous and attentive staff. The two amuse bouches were delightful and it got better thereon. Reasonable selection of wine by the glass. A reservation is a must to avoid disappointment. We would be happy to make a return visit, as compared with Paris, this was very good value!

Outstanding food and attentive service. Reservations essential. three different prix fix menus: €29, €40 and €50. The risotto appetizer on the €40 menu was so good, everyone in our party ordered that menu just to get that appetizer. Would've liked the option to skip the cheese course, as cheese and dessert, after appetizers and main course (and amusee bouche and apple sorbet between courses) was just too much food.

Our first meal in France on this trip did not disappoint. All courses were on point. The best foie gras of the trip. Good selection, beautifully presented, owner and wait staff speaks solid English. Friendly and helpful - phoned our hotel to let them know we'd be arriving late (found the restaurant before the hotel!). MUST BOOK AHEAD!
