Great company to tour with. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Ironic that he was German! We only had time for a half-day tour, and I am glad we did this. Though we did NOT get to see Utah beach, it was Omaha that seemed to have the most to see and talk about as it was a much tougher fight for the Americans here. Take this tour, and then if you think you want more time at the cemetery, or really want to see Utah, do that on your own. I am sure someone possibly with a relative who fought here might have a different take, but for me, just personally seeing these sights I have read about or seen movies about was my overall goal, and the half day tour was perfect. Kudos to overlord tours

I read reviews before reserving so I must say expectations were high. Tour was punctual, thorough (including a couple of worthy, unscheduled stops along the way) and the guide knowledgeable and extremely agreeable. Money well spent. Our children, ages 7 and 10, enjoyed the tour and learned a lot. Not to miss. Now I would never recommend doing the D-Day visits without one of these day or half-day tours. In our half-day tour we visited Atlantic Wall batteries at Longues-sur-Mer, Omaha Beach, American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer and Point-du-Hoc.

We went on the Band of Brothers tour starting in Bayeux, and came to Normandy especially for this tour. The sights were great, and definitely worth the trip, however we found a few things weren't quite what we expected for 95 euros each. The tour guide was friendly and informative, but the tour lacked any excitement and for the most part was quiet. We expected that for this price, we would receive more information than we did, and perhaps at least lunch would be provided. The tour was almost 10 hours long and we paid the tour guide with 200 euros for 2 people, expecting 10 euros change (as we felt that the tour was expensive enough), and he didn't offer us any change at all. All in all, if you had a car, a map and the internet, you could do this tour yourself. It was a good tour, but far overpriced.

Booked a tour with Overlord Tours for a one day visit during our vacation in Paris. Everything about this company was excellent. The details for the tour on line right down to the informational email about the train trip from Paris and the steps we needed to take to meet our guide on time. We arrived at the Bayeux Train station at 9:26am and our guide Peter was there waiting on us. We had a great day and as the groups interests became apparent the tour was custom tailored to take this into account. We were given plenty of time at the larger stops to see things on our own and we had plenty of time for lunch. We thought about trying to see D-Day beaches on our own, but we made the right decision to book Overlord Tours. I highly recommend Overlord to anyone wanting an excellent D-Day tour.
