Description: The owners Isabelle and Thierry Lhuillery are strongly attached to the region, which displays lot's of famous specialities. Their cooking is both original and typical. The owners know pretty well the local producers, with whom they have been working for many years. When the ingredients are cooked, it is always in the respect of their original flavour, only spices and fresh herbs are added in order to make the best come out of them. Enjoy eating fresh sea food straight from the coast; try our daily raw marinated fish course, or a slice of duck foie gras flavoured with apple fragrances. Don't miss our Normandy beef and duck breast, or our delicate fish dressed with a light cream dressing. Do not also go by, without tasting our local cheeses such as : Camembert, Pont L’Eveque, Livarot or Neufchatel. And finally to put a pleasant end to this perfect meal try a chaudfroid apple dessert... It will be our pleasure to help you choosing in our wine and cider list the most appropriate beverage.

“Okay meal, okay service”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

On Sundays, many restaurants in Bayeux are closed; so we got reservations here. The menu was good, solid, unexciting. The food was fairly well prepared but nothing that caused any of the four of us much excitement. The vegetable soup, for example, was good but nothing I might not have been able to achieve myself. Our waitress seemed unhappy with the way we set down our forks on the plates once finished, and left us the impression we had somehow put her out. Nevertheless, the wine was adequate, if a bit pricey, the coffee was good; and the tables have beautiful linens and a warm atmosphere, even if overall it does not seem to rise to the expectations the prices and furnishings would give the casual viewer.

“mostly average”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

Everything was average in this restaurant: the quality of the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the prices. We have eaten better rabbit that here (a bit on the dry and tough side). The tripes a la mode de Caen were OK. Overall no specially positive nor negative comment to make. Plain and correct cuisine, not gastronomic.

“Lovely Dininer”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

This restaurant is well worth a visit if you are looking for a high class dinner.

It is located very close to the Cathedral and sitting outside allows splendid views of the night lights on the cathedral.

“Yum!”

Fresh, regional, friendly. Reservations suggested. What more needs to be said? TA wants too many words when a few says it all.

“Great food and service”
Reviewed September 14, 2013 via mobile

We enjoyed a great meal here on our first night in Bayeux. The food and service were excellent. My petite fondue received ohhs and aws from another table of Americans when it was served, and it tasted better than it looked. The beef was not up to what I get in Texas but it was tasty all the same. I hope to return before we leave this lovely town.
