Great place to visit if you are interested in history/WW2. Amazing to be there where all of it happened.

“Proud to be American......”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2012

It's alot to see in one day....which is all we had. We started out at the 360 degree movie in Arromanches (which you can skip)...then a tram takes you to the museum at Arromanches - which is interesting...then on to Point Du Hoc and then the American Cemetery. All very beautiful....take time to think about what happened on these beaches....we had time to visit Utah Beach...very nice, but redundant.

“Do not miss Pointe du Hoc.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2012

Touched me deeply. Especially going INTO the actual German bunker and looking through the slits onto the beach, knowing this was the very place where the Germans shot our Rangers. Take time here. The BOMBED land still has the huge craters. Very beautiful beach views.
