We've just returned from 3 nights at the hotel. We visited Lille as part of christmas preparations and to visit the market. The hotel was warn and friendly. Predictable Novotel quality. Great features of the hotel were its location- right next to the Eurolille terminal. Easy access by road too if you follow Eurolille signs. 5 minutes walk to the heart of Lille. The room was very comfortable with a large bed, seating area and it was very clean. Bathroom was a bit peculiar- sort of plastic preformed cabin but it had a lively bath and seperate shower with loads of hot water. Suite box was an added bonus. Free TV, music internet and films. Breakfast was functional but adequate. Drinks in the bar were nice but a bit pricey 10 Euros for a spirit & mixer. No parking but secure parking located directly under the hotel for 20 euros a day. There doesnt seem to be any free parking in Lille at all!

Leave the Lille Europe station through the first exit on the left and across the road you'll spot the Suite Novotel Europe - with its lovely orange trim!! I stayed here for one night with my daughter and my mother and had plenty of room to spread out. One large double bed with another single bed that pulls out underneath it along with a comfy single sofa bed. The media box is brilliant - tv, radio and internet all in one - although our keyboard seemed rather tempremental I managed to get onto Tripadvisor to check out the local restaurants - and of course came up trumps with a fab traditional place 10 minutes away (thanks!!). The whole hotel is sparkling clean and seems to have had a recent refurb and the receptionist that dealt with us was very friendly and welcoming and helped out with maps etc (and of course spoke perfect English). Although it's useful to have the wc separate from the bathroom, our only gripe was the caravan cubicle like loo - if like me you're a bit on the claustrophobic side - you may need to take a deep breath and limit your visit time!! Ten minutes walk over the bridge and you're in the Lille Flandres station (be ready for long queues at the ticket windows!) and also a large section of great restaurants. So if you're looking for a clean, comfy, convenient hotel in Lille look no further.

If you exit Lille International on the Boulevarde Leeds, look to your right and the hotel is just 3 minutes walk away, on the opposite side of the road. The rooms are spacious with a double and single bed, separate loo and bathroom with a shower cubicle and bath with shower attachment. Shower gel and shampoo are provided. There is a small fridge, a microwave and a kettle - they even provide a small bottle of water! The tea and coffee provided are just one of each with paper cups. Films on the TV and internet access is included with the room but we couldn't get the internet to work. The rooms are exceptionally clean and very quiet. As we were leaving the hotel, the receptionist ran after us to say we hadn't paid a tourist tax of 2 Euros, something nobody had bothered to mention!

If you walk through Lille Station, there is a short cut to a shopping centre with a huge Carrefour. We had gone for the Christmas Market which proved to be a bit of a disappointment, so ended up shopping there. The Metro is cheap and convenient, just 65 cents buys a ZAP ticket which will take you 3 stops. When we went, it was bitterly cold so take plenty of warm clothing with you.

The Eurostar will not allow you to check-in until 30 minutes before departure, so the warmest place to wait is the station ticket office. Enjoy yourselves!

Brilliant hotel! We went there for a weekend to Lille. The hotel is in a great area, especially if you are travelling by Eurostar. It is also only a ten minute walk to the centre of the town. The hotel itself was very clean, stylish and comfortable. The staff were very friendly, especially when I told them that my Mum was ill.
I would definitely go to this hotel again, or one from the same company. It was lovely to see a hotel so near to the train station which felt safe and friendly.
I'd recommend it for children and the elderly as there are lifts.
Great stuff!

We chose this hotel for a two day stay on the strength of the TripAdvisor reviews and it certainly lived up to expectations. We have previously stayed at a beautiful top-rated hotel on the other side of Lille, but for the convenience of Eurostar plus the well equipped rooms and friendly staff the Suite Novotel simply cannot be beaten.
Our party included a one-year old in a pushchair and a disabled lady in a wheelchair and all the staff were most helpful and attentive. Beds were a bit firm (as usual in most hotels) and the breakfast was not cheap (as usual in most hotels) but well worth the price. And as for free Wi-Fi and blockbuster movies - unbelievable!
