“Satisfactory but watch for fellow guests”
Reviewed January 11, 2012

Well located for car travellers. Parking facility, 500m distance from shopping mall. Basic breakfast. Bewatch fellow guests as many building crews seem to occupy the hotel that decrease the standard. Smoking on corridor seem to be a rule. Rooms are really small and fitting 3 persons in triple room may be a challange.

Very good clean basic hotel at a good price. TV and Wi Fi (fast) in the room.

Just off a main road next to a large shopping centre so easy for any supplies you want

We always have a travel kettle and a couple of cups with us for drinks in the room :)

The staff are very friendly and speak a good level of English if your french is not up to scratch.

Room Tip: The hotel is tucked away down a private road so keep your eyes open.

Stay here with friends as part of a larger group and we all stayed here due to its low cost. We were very pleased with the location right in the centre of lille (although it took a little finding at first!) straight off a main street. The room was very big and comfortable and came with all mod cons. We used it as a base so weren't in it to much which was about right as it is a cheap hotel so don't expect luxury, but for a base it was great! Staff were very good at recommending places to eat and things to see.

the hotel was great, it was quite simple but that was all we needed for a work experience trip. the rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels and sheets provided, the hotel had a nice atmosphere and breakfast was nice. it was also in a great central location which allowed easy access to all of lille. all i would say though is there seemed to be a lingering smell of marijuana which may have been down to illegal recreational use within a personal hotel room yet still was strong enough to be smelled throughout the hotel. finally, the walls are very thin indeed and so it was quite frequently that we would hear couples, especially the infamous 347, engaging in what should be private business... very loudly indeed.

Room Tip: rooms 350, 318 and 205 i would recommend.

basically, we had to change rooms- our first room was absolutely tiny, had a view of a concrete 'courtyard',the other rooms and a disguarded nappy, the bathroom smelt, had hair everywhere, was covered in dirt, and had no soap; thsi was bad enough but when i took off the bed cover, i found a clump of hair and stains on the blanket! our second room was even smaller, only had one bed, the window wouldn't open, the bathroom smelt even worse and the non-slip bumps on the shower floor were lined with brown dirt! I DEFINATELY WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!!

Okay it's a bit worn around the edges. But it's cental, cheap and better than an Ibis..

The bed was very comfortable - the decoration dated and a bit tatty - it was so badly decorated I felt like putting on a pair of shoulder pads and perming my hair....but all very clean, it had a flat screen tv which was out of sorts with the 1980s peach den and the curtains were of two different hanging lenghts which had me in hysterics as I imagined there was another pair just like it in another room. The bathroon was functional and the shower and loo worked, I have had worse in 4 star hotels in the UK.

Staff friendly - and it seems that there is on going building work. The only thing that really worried me is that you took a lift to the reception and I couldn't understand how we would get out in a fire.

Would I stay here again - actually yes as it was a really good nights sleep and minutes from the Christmas market and big wheel. Other guests seemed to be well heeled french who knew a bargain when they saw one and once you closed your eyes you just thought about all the money you were saving and could use on shopping and eating out, which was the main purpose of our trip.

We didn't bother with breakfast as you can buy this anywhere for a few euros - and with a fantastic international checkout time of 12 noon we were still eating in a restaurant at 1.30am not worrying that we had to be up and out by 10am.

I stayed in this hotel a few weeks ago on a recent trip to watch liverpool football club against lille in the europa league.
We booked this hotel mainly because of the fact it was one of the cheaper ones still available and we also noticed ot had a centre location.
I was very happy with the hotel and if you are on a budget it is perfect. If you want a lovely room and something up market its not for you but if you simply want to keep costs down but dont want to compromise on location this is great.
The hotel is basically in the middle of a main shoppong centre near restaurants and bars. It is also a 3 minute walk to the nearest metro station.
The rooms are basic but comfortable enough for the price and shower was good with plenty of power and warm.
