“Good Location for Eurostar & Centre”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2013

Stayed here for a short break before Xmas, we have 2 kids and found the room more the comfortable for the 4 of us.
The hotel is a short walk from the Eurostar station, 15 mins with kids and cases if you follow the road (I think there was a short cut through a shopping mall but it was closed when we arrived and left).
The kids loved the XBox and toys in the lobby and this is where we spent a lot of our down time!
We opted to pay for the breakfast which was very nice (hot food was a bit limited but great continental selection)
The city centre is about 10 minutes walk away.
My only complaint would be the service on the front desk was VERY slow, there only seemed to be one person available and whilst they took time to serve each customer this resulted in me having to wait in line for 20 minutes to get my key card reactivated.

I enjoyed my stay there - nice, clean, big comfortable rooms
It was also nice to have a kettle and selection of hot drinks in the room
Breakfast was a bit dear with limited choice
Overall a good experience, I would definitely stay there again

We really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were clean, spacious and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a good location - easy walking distance to all main attractions and nice restaurants and patisseries. My only suggestion to the hotel would be to put better quality pillows in the rooms, found them fairly uncomfortable and needed to stack many up to get them to the right height. Otherwise I would highly recommended this hotel as a good value for money stay.

The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the train station, located not far from the main square, about a 5-10 minute walk to the centre.
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were decent and clean, with a safe, also nice bathroom. Room was cleaned daily. It was also nice to have a kettle and selection of hot drinks in the room. There was also a mini bar. A bonus was having the choice of going down to breakfast in the morning or having it delivered to your room at no extra cost. Good choice for breakfast with cereals, pastries, breads, fruit, yogurt, juices, coffee and plenty more.
Another nice feature of the hotel was the courtyard which the bar staff were happy to serve you at. Try the cocktails, they were delicious! All in all a hotel that made you feel welcome and comfortable.
Before getting to the main square there are shops and eateries nearby, some on the same street as the hotel. Though some of the nicer places to eat were nearer or in the square. Also check out the little side streets off the square for more nice places, there was also a really cool bar (cant remember the name) just off from a second smaller square off the main one.
There are some lovely little shops, boutiques and nice buildings. There was also a type of market in a courtyard. Bizarrely we had trouble finding tourist information as the signs seemed to lead u in circles, though we eventually found it, not that you need it, also the hotel staff were happy to offer advice.
There is also a city tour bus which was reasonable, not the best i've been on but still worth it to get a feel of the city as a whole. All in all a nice place to go for a city break with good food, enough to do for a few days, and some lovely shops. Not bad for less than 2 hours on the eurostar!

Enjoyed our stay having visited a few times about seven years ago. Friendly and attentive staff, service excellent. Breakfast reasonably priced and offers fair value. Parking expensive with no dedicated car park, but the car park next to the hotel is safe and convenient. Cost 38 euros for less than 48 hours. Hotel is pet friendly but does not reserve specific rooms for pets, so if you are allergic to any pets you may wish to check your room first.
There were traces of pet hairs on the sofabed in our room, but this was not a problem for us.

Stayed for a weekend in beginning of December. My wife and I thought the place was clean, with friendly staff. There were comic books in the lobby for the kids, as well as two video game stations. This was well thought-out, providing entertainment while at the hotel. The in-hotel gym was clean and neat (never actually saw anyone else there). Breakfast was a combination of continental/english and was more than enough.

Right next to the train station (no noise problems though, even outside), a 1km walk to the center of Lille. Even in December this didn't seem like a big deal. I'm sure there are hotels closer to the center, but really the walk was no problem.

Excellent choice for Lille centre and Eurostar station 5 and 15 minute walk respectively. The hotel had a very welcoming reception with English speaking staff throughout! Rooms fairly basic but were comfortable, clean with coffee/tea making facilities, stocked fridge and safe - though this didn't operate and even after reporting the fault no attempt was made to rectify!! However the hotel on all other counts was excellent! Also the bathroom and shower were more than adequate! Breakfast was very good with fruit, cereal pastries, cake, yoghurt, ham and cheeses and even a cooked option of eggs, bacon and sausages - even fresh crepes if you wanted!
This hotel is an excellent choice for a short break in Lille!

Room Tip: a room at the back of the hotel is a good option!
