“Clean and modern budget hotel”
Reviewed August 10, 2014

The hotel is modern, clean and easy to reach by car. The city centre is a 15-20min walk on foot, though there is a bus service nearby. The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood, there's a grocery store around the corner. Breakfast was good, lots of options to choose from (bread, croissants, cereal, eggs, etc). Definitely good value for money.

Hotel short walk from Euro Star they let us leave our luggage in a secure room as we arrived too early to checkin, great location for everything in Lille which is such a beautiful place, only down side was there was no air conditioning which was desperately needed in the rooms, as we were only there two nights we put up with it. Continental breakfast but plenty to choose, set you up for day. Would definitely return to the hotel.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing over town so that you can get a breeze through the window

I stayed in the hotel for one night the first weekend of Aug.
The hotel is bit away from the city centre, but still only about 15-20 min walking. There is a metro station close by about 5 min.
The hotel is modern, clean and in a nice block, I especially liked the divercity of the facades of the other buildings. There is also a grocery close to the hotel.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.
My room was quite as requested, clean and had the basic necessities you need. The soap dispenser was in a bit of an odd place, but otherwise the bathroom was functional. The shower worked well, good water pressure and control over temperature. NOTE, no hair dryer for those finding it essential.
Bed was okay, not excellent, but neither bad. You had an extra pillow and blanket in the room if needed.
Did not have breakfast so cannot comment on it.

Room Tip: My room was on the third floor facing the street and was quiet. Only noise came from the hallway and...

We were greater in a friendly manner and efficient manner. The room was very comfortable and very reasonable for the price.

The breakfast was of a good standard with a good selection of pastries, the member of staff was happy to restock items but you need to make sure you ask if they have run out of anything.

Unless you walk into the town centre there was no anywhere where we were happy to go to tea.

Simpler rooms that are perfect for a city centre –with a price to match. Think IBIS with just a little less room and lower cost and you have it. It has a great access code system that acts for your room the secure parking and late night entry although the desk is staffed 24 hours a day. Good sound bed, A/C and a good shower.

Simple but substantial breakfast at 6€ hits the spot

The downside was it’s a bit of a hike from the metro and there was not a good local bar close by. On the upside it’s close to the motorway for easy access and get away.

Stayed here 2 nights in a family room with 4 adults. Not really close to the centre of town but that wasnt a concern for us, but is very close to Eurolille. Room is basic but big enough for the 4 of us and the bathroom was ok. Very clean. Staff were very helpful, even offering to come out to my car and help me with th French GPS! Breakfast was 6 euro which was ok, but the bacon & egg tray was empty 95% of the time because they brought out tiny portions way too infrequently...room for improvement there. Overall this place was good value for money for the area. Great staff, thumbs up.

There is nothing like this in the uk that is as basic and clean. We stayed for 30 euros a night and it's fine for what it is. The place was small but for me fit everything I needed. There were paring spaces outside which were free, if you can find one. Buffet breakfast, 6 euros per person, was more than adequate. They had eggs and bacon as well as the continental stuff. Key codes for doors were convenient meaning you didn't have to remember to take a card everywhere. Free wi-fi in room. I think they have all basic amenities done very well and it's all that's needed for a budget stay.
