Our room cost around £45 and was clean and comfortable.
The hotel is a short walk into the centre of Dunkirk - not a town I would ever want to return to as there is precious little to see or do there.
We paid extra for breakfast which was at best adequate but the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Arrived around three in the afternoon, staff were very helpful.. the room It seems a lot like a seventies through back hotel .. dirty windows, dirty electric heaters, taps on the bath and sink very difficult to open .. decor is a bit out dated.. had a drink in the bar , once again the staff were very helpful.. all said it is a good little hotel for the money but could do with some updating

This is about what you should expect of a 2-Star rated hotel in a smaller French city. Decent room at a reasonable price. Interior of this hotel is dated, maybe even a bit shabby in the hallways. Room was large by modern European standards. Bathroom was large and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We did not reserve the room online. We were able to negotiate a few € per night off the regular price. Best attribute is location mid-way between downtown and the beaches, easy walking distance to both.

Ok, it’s a budget hotel at just over £50 per night. But it does specify a bar. We arrived back after dinner at 9.45pm and the bar was closed. The ‘night porter’ could not have been so unhelpful. Very poor accommodation as you can see by the pictures, and no air conditioning. To be honest, I didn’t check the sitcom status when booking so that could be my fault. Our opinion, choose somewhere else. We will in future!

We stayed there for 2 nights (Bongo) and first impression was not great. It all looked a bit dated in a French 80'ies contemporary style building. A colorful yellow or orange paint here and there makes it a bit flashy and expresses its style. The rooms are very basic but relatively spacious. Not a lot of extra's and the decoration / finishing touches aren't made with high quality. Our bathroom had a shower, one sink, one toilet.

The breakfast is available in a buffet inside a very large cantina alike restaurant. A fair choice of food (but no hot prepared food). The atmosphere is somewhat depressing if you ask us, but hey.. a lot is made by yourself and as we had each other we didn't mind a lot.. I'd say that the hotel (room) that we had was clean but needs some renovation.

The reception service was kind and fair.
the location is pretty good - the hotel is next to the harbour and pretty close to the old town, new contemporary apartment blocks close by. Dunkirk itself is a mix of old, and modern, inidustrial and residential. A bit of a weird city planning but you see that things are moving here. Visits to Zuydcote natural parc are easily made and a trip to Cap Griz Nez, Cap Blanc Nez and larger area are ok too.

We were there with a Bongo voucher but I can imagine that the value/price is the way how it should be. This hotel won't not our preferred one if we pay ourselves.
