we are a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We stayed in room 8 of this hotel for 3 nights. The room was clearly cleaned each day but it was in need of a serious deep clean and update / renovation. There was a large damp patch on the bathroom ceiling, the tiles had black mould. The connecting door between the 2 bedrooms did not freely open and close, you had to lift it. and there was no room in the room (pardon the pun). However, we were pleasantly surprised that there was little kitchenette area with a cooker / fridge. and the pool table was welcomed warmly by our children. The breakfast was very fresh, tasty and plentiful and the 2 girls on reception were both very friendly and helpful. Would I stay here again? For a quick stopover, yes, for a holiday destination. no.

other then being only 5minutes from the ferry port, would not chose to stay for rmore than one night! The hotel looks in need of a overhaul. Rooms are small and definitely need a painting to brighten them up. Our toilet/bathroom was very smelly, the toilet was very stained and bath surrounds mouldy. The towels provided were old and certainly not white! However the twin beds were comfortable, but pillows lumpy (could job we always take our own) The sheets and duvet were clean, but I could not say the same for the blanket provided. Air con made a lot of noise but not much effect, and it was a hot night, so slept with window open, which was OK as had first floor room. On a positive there was a kettle and some tea bags, however only 3 ( 1 English tea/ 1 herbal / 1 green mint) and two coffee sachets) Bring your own! also only paper cups and mine leaked. No restaurant in hotel, given discount at the Campanile across the road. However instructions from hotel, did not explain clearly that this is not the restaurant directly behind the hotel, which we found out after eating our meal, but our mistake was maybe fortunate as the food was good and very reasonably priced. All in all, we would possibly use hotel again but might try campanile first, to see if it is better option. This hotel is slightly over-priced for the quality , have used Kyriad chain before in Toulon and it was far better than this one!

Room tip: check the smell in bathroom before unpacking!

As per the title, this hotel is tired and dated. We chose it as an overnight stop after arriving on an evening ferries we hastened on a Kyriad in Clermont-Ferrand before and found it to ne first class. Shame the same cannot be said for this one. Despite this, the staff were friendly, the rooms comfortable if about pn the small side. Attention to detail is require such as replacing now bulbs etc.

Kyriad hotels are part of a chain with agreed and strict standards of provision, so0 no point giving a general description. Essentially, the rooms are small but comfortable and well-maintained. This one has a very friendly staff and a brilliant location. Very close to the car ferry, it is a perfect stopover for anyone crossing late and needing an early start. We used it as a short-term base to explore the Dunkirk conurbation, with its great maritime heritage, and the nearby seaside resorts, which stretch right up the Belgian coast. Very close, though, is a big sandy beach at Petit-Fort-Philippe. Great access to the road network, including the A16 and A25 motorways, without excessive noise or bustle. A small high street, with regular cafes, butchers and bakers, is only a few hundred metres down the road. However, there is a small but well-stocked Carrefour, with good bread supplies, next door to collect your picnic.

Room tip: Like most French hotels nowadays, this has English style kettles rather than filter machines in the rooms, so pack a cafetière or filter if you need a regular top-up.

Arrived having booked two rooms for one night. The allocated rooms had not been prepared so they gave us two family rooms which comprised of two rooms in each with twin beds in each room. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the rooms were clean and although on the small side, perfectly adequate. The receptionist was very pleasant and obliging. We have stayed in this hotel a few times before, mainly because of its secure parking. You have the opportunity of having a French style breakfast in the morning and if you wish an evening meal, you get a discount in the restaurant in a nearby hotel. (although we prefer to have a meal in the private restaurant just behind the hotel. We can thoroughly recommend this hotel for couples, families and singles.
