Young promising cook offering quality food at reasonnable price especially if you choose the menu. Large choice of local dishes accompanied by tasty little side orders. Excellent wine!

This place manages to be both traditional and innovative, which is something quite rare in France. The starters - Fois Gras, Scallops carpaccio, asparagus with a crispy egg and baby squid - were all very good, especially the squids, which were really tender. For a main we all had Cassoulet, the local specialty - a hefty serving of beans, duck leg, sausages and pork meat, which was a true delight.

Third time here, quality & service outstanding each time. Prices very, very reasonably given quality. Waitstaff handled large group very well. Lamb shoulder was excellent, as were deserts ("The Colonel" in particular). Diverse wine list with good quality to price ratio.

Managed to get a spot on the bar after having negotiated as the restaurant was fully booked on a Friday Lunch. I had a foie gras marble, an entrecote and a special version of black forest as a dessert. Starter was nothing exceptional, I missed the taste of foie gras, it was maybe prepared long in advance so it lost freshness. Main was just like you would dream your meat to be, just melting like butter. Dessert was literally the icing on the cake, a very interesting and delicious interpretation of black forest. Service was super friendly, I felt like a member of the family. It was also a privilege to sit so close to the bar and watch the whole thing going on.

Made a reservation for lunch at 12 o clock. (Kitchen closes at 2 PM). The restaurant is in the center of the city and is very cosy with a certain class. I ordered the 3 course lunch and half a bottle of 2010 Chateau Bellevue la Foret rouge from nearby Fronton which was well tempered and good value. I was one of the first guests to arrive and the waiter initially delivered very good service. First course was a salad with lentils and meat - it was very good. The main dish was duck. I ordered it medium, but it was slightly overcooked, but ok. The restaurant was now full and guests were waiting in the lobby, and the waiters was very busy. Not a moment to spare, they worked constantly, and I noticed a waiters shirt was all wet from sweat on his back...The dessert was a chocolate cake - it was fine. I ordered a glass of sweet red Banyuls - when it arrived it looked sloppy as wine was spilt on the foot of the glass due to the rushed serving. After finishing my dessert I was asked if the restaurant could offer a cup of coffee in the bar, as they needed my table... Well, I could of course have insisted of having the coffee at the table, but button line is: The food is good, but it is not very nice feeling like a cattle being pushed through the process: Take Your order, eat your food quickly, leave the table for the coffee in the bar and pay Your bill... For me dinning is not only good food and wine. It is also a nice relaxed atmosphere where You feel welcome, and are treated this way. The restaurant is in serious risk of drowning in their own success...
