“Finally a great vegetarian restaurant”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

My wife is vegetarian and it is always a drag to find a restaurant that fits both of us well. La Faim des Haricots is probably the best vegetarian restaurant I have been to so far. Atmosphere is casual, service is great and very friendly prices are affordable and last but not least the food is awesome.

“Delicious vegetarian food”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

My friends (a mix of carnivores and vegetarians) and I have been to this restaurant multiple times and have never been disappointed, the food is excellent and there's always a selection of different tartes salées, a big salad and dessert buffet and a choice of a soup and a plat du jour. Price is very good for what you get (e.g. 3 course All You Can Eat Menu for 12 euros).

“What a find”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

I love France and have stayed in most of the big cities, the only drawback is always the lack of vegy restaurants. I tend to survive on Pizzas and the odd pasta dish, to find a vegy restaurant in the meat-tastic Toulouse was an absolute godsend.
The restaurant is in side street just 5 minutes from the main square and very easy to find. It is very small and tends to get busy as soon as it opens at 7pm. The tables are packed in so it is very cosy and you have to be careful when wandering around with plates laden with food.
It is an all you can eat buffet with five choices - soup, salad, dish of the day, quiche and desert. 10 euros for 1 choice going up to 14 for all five. At that price I went for all five just to try it all. The food was great, the quiche and salad were top drawer and the puddings very old fashioned, included chocolate cake, apple tart, and sponges with custards and syrups to pour over. An absolute treat for a vegy diner.
The restaurant is almost completely self service, apart from drinks being brought to your table you do everything else for yourself, so prepare to dive in and you will have a great night.

Cheap, delicious and a real gem for a Vegetarian living in France. All you can eat fresh salad and hot meals, spectacular service and will be returning many, many times.

“Finally, cardiac friendly food”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

Super menu structure. Basic price plus one euro extra for entree, side or dessert. One or two main dishes each day. Really flavorful food. We had coos coos and loved it. Best of all, tables are close together so it is easy to strike up conversations with the mostly French speaking clientele. Little choice for vegans though as is the case almost everywhere in France
