I have eaten here an many occasions in recent years after garaging my car chez my brother prior to leaving for the airport or in the evening when staying over night. I have always found it to be extremely good. The menu is always interesting, the cooking is excellent, the service is sometimes a little slow, but if we tell the waiter our deadline for a flight he has always obliged us- and called a taxi. It is essential to book as it is always busy. In the summer there is service in the garden at the back. The wine is very good but not cheap.

Enter from the street expecting a small cosy indoor restaurant and be surprised as you are led through the restaurant to a 'back yard' outdoor dining experience. Excellent venue, service and food - making for a very enjoyable night at very reasonable cost.

We had the market menu, which was 28€ for an entree, main and a dessert. For us, this was an exquisite salmon entree, duck for the main meal (which was cooked perfectly, the best I've had so far) and a fresh cheese dessert.

The staff were very friendly and we had a nice chat with the chef when we came to the bar to pay, who told us he's been working there for ten years and they bake their own bread (which is delicious, by the way).

We were seated out the back of the restaurant in a beautifully lit terrace area. The location of the restaurant is surprising, it seemed to be the only restaurant on the street and we never would have discovered it had it not been recommended to us!

As the only English speaking customers in a busy (but not uncomfortably full) restaurant, you know it has to be good if locals are eating there. We booked online earlier in the day, which was so convenient - very grateful for that. Highly recommend this high quality restaurant! :)
