Toulouse unlike some cities acknowledges that the Garonne is both a part of its history and part of its future.
Easy access from the centre of the city, grass walks, boat trips and ready availability of cafés and restaurants. A pleasant place to picnic in the sun or just watch the world go by.

Huge and beautiful river. Walk over the Pont Neuf and take a trip from the riverside barge up the Canal du Midi.

It was just a beautiful thing to have appearing as we cycled from Bordeaux to Toulouse.
Beautiful places along the river, magnificent trees, bridges and towns/villages.
Boats too , some making their way to and from the Canal Lateral, and some making their way to and from the Canal Du Midi.

You can walk for a while on the side of the Garonne. The water is not awesome to look at, but the environment all around it is cool.

It s a very nice place to see in toulouse, you can go down by the stairs during the day or night and fight people chilling , tanning, playing music, or having some beers... there is plenty or restaurants and pubs around, place saint pierre it has a huge number of pubs but mostly teenagers.
