On our arrival the service was professional and welcoming. The room was perfectly clean, loved the details from the toiletries to the coffee machine. We had requested a quiet room and were allocated a room at the back of the hotel which was perfect. The linen and towels were lovely quality. We can't comment on breakfast as we ate out. On check out, which was early in the morning, we were attended to by a young man , unfortunately I did not get his name who was extremely helpful and very pleasant. We will return and would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

What a unique hotel, like sleeping in a cloud! The aeronautical theme has a historical basis as Aeropostale pioneer pilot St. Exupery was a long time guest. But the guest room decor and calmness take the theme into the clouds. Pure white, puffy bed linens with grey fluffy pillows mirror the cloud motif on the ceiling. Quotes by St, Exupery are stenciled on the walls.

The staff is friendly and gracious, the breakfast/lounge area fun and funky. Fast, free Wifi on the practical side.

Our room had view of sunrise behind the ornate Hotel de Ville on Place du Capitol, which was an unexpected bonus.

My girlfriend and I arrived in Toulouse after a five hour drive from Barcelona. The building itself is impressive to look at from the Place du Capitole (basically slap-bang in the centre of town), with its grand balcon stretching around the outside.

Once into the smart-looking reception, the staff were courteous and helpful. We were tired and wanted a recommendation for a restaurant; the member of staff offered us suggestions and a map for when we came back down from the room after changing - just what we needed.

The room itself was well-designed and beautifully laid out. The bed was the centrepiece of the room; a decent kingsize which was very comfortable. There was a sofa along the entirety of one wall which we used as a baggage shelf but would be comfortable to sit on.

The bathroom was of adequate size with a bath / shower which had a rainfall showerhead - a real plus both for me and my girlfriend. However, the head was at an angle (to the left as you looked at it), so if you wanted to shower without washing your hair then the water only went onto the left side of your body, but if you straightened it then the water was splashed onto the floor. The complimentary toiletries were from l'Occitane - something I quite liked.

The one downside was the noise during the night. The Place du Capitole is in the heart of this studenty town and as a result we woke up many times during the night. The windows were doubleglazed but it didn't help.

We'd definitely go back to this hotel if we were to return to Toulouse - but might choose midweek to avoid the noise.

We really enjoyed our stay at this chic, stylish hotel. There was a real 'wow' factor when we first saw our room - a beautiful piece of interior design that is arty, modern and spacious. The links to the hotel's aviation past were also nicely and tastefully incorporated into the decor. My only slight criticism is that the lovely bathroom has a decorated glass wall facing the bed, which made it impossible to go to the toilet in the night without disturbing my partner when switching the light on. On the postive side, the room also a view from the narrow balcony towards the Place de Capitole - a nice bonus. Another good touch was the Nespresso machine in the room, which was always a nice start to the day. We didn't take breakfast at the hotel, but there are loads of places around that area. And the hotel is within easy reach of lots (and lots!) of restaurants; Toulouse really did offer-up some lovely dining experiences. We didn't really meet the staff of the Grand Balcon apart from check in and check out, but they were efficient and friendly (the minimalist 'podiums' rather than a proper reception desk did amuse me though). Location-wise, the hotel is perfectly positioned as a base for strolling around this beautiful city. Everywhere was within easy walking distance, although Toulouse isn't the easiest place to navigate around. As other reviews have pointed out, there are some serious road works all around Place de Capitole, and in general, the streets are very busy with cars and mopeds.

We liked this hotel a lot. The interior design is so striking that it may polarise opinion, but it was right up our street. Great hotel, great city.

This is probably the best location to stay at in Toulouse. The hotel is right off the Place de Capitole, which is the heart of Toulouse. You can walk everywhere and you can really feel the atmosphere of the city. the hotel itself is very cool and definitely with some character. it is funky and modern, with a interesting decor. My room had clouds paineted on the wall, but it was small and theh WiFi did not work, which was annoying. the furniture was cool but in need of replacement of renovation. there was a white leather long seat, which would be very cool except it had stains and it was pealing in places, which kind of made it look cheap. The staff was very nice and helpful and the breakfast every morning was excellent! Over all this hotel has a lot of potential but fo rthe price that they are charging it needs to be improved.

We have stayed in this hotel thrice and always have had a wonderful time. The location can not be beaten as it is just off the main Plaza and close to everything. Rooms which small are nicely furnished, the bathrooms have always been good with nice sized showers, good toiletries and best yet is the Nespresso machine and the necessary pods as well as a selection of complimentary drinks.
I can not say enough about the exemplary service. They have always been very efficient making restaurant reservations and phoning us long distance for updates. This last trip, we were informed that on the day of arrival the entire area around the main Plaza would be close off to traffic, car and foot. They arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport and do the complex maneuvering of getting us and the luggage by foot to the hotel presenting all the necessary clearances needed to get by the police cordon.
One piece of luggage was left somewhere in Heathrow and they took all the efforts to get the airlines to deliver that the same night.
I can not say enough about the quality of the service. We will use them again next year.
