This wasn't featured on the main tourist map sadly, and I saw no flyers for it - it was only mentioned in the really old Rough Guide I had! Pleased I made the effort to go. This is a subject I've read lots about in the past, but as a Brit I found the more French focused info most interesting (Vichy etc), Top floor is packed full of info, and the reception desk has English translation for the main room upstairs. Downstairs had a current exhibition, but all in French - no chance for me. Shame there were some interesting looking eye witness films. Good loo stop, and interesting to see the massive townhouses, of which the museum is one.

This visit had real emotional impact, and the museum's subject is enduringly important.
The museum is free and a lot of the descriptors are in French.. The top floor has a guide for English speaking visitors so you can read an English description of what you are seeing. This certainly helps and it was given to us on arrival.
the other floor is also interesting but all in French. The main question though about the meaning of collusion and the choices made faced with overwhelming force are compelling.
We understood more about deportations, more about the Vichy regime and about the bravery of the resistance cells.
If we visit Toulouse again we would return because this place had real meaning for us.

This is an extremely poignant museum dealing with both the resistance and the deportation of Jews from France.
It is pretty hard-hitting, but well put together, with some great artifacts to bring the period alive.

Small, free museum that highlighted the French resistance during World War 2. Two floors, & most of the description is in French but you can get a handbook at the front desk in English that helps tell the story.

A very moving museum full of artifacts. Their English translation packet was very informative and well done. It increased our understanding of the history and the effects of the occupation and the deportation tremendously. Bravo!
