My husband and I were travelling with my French friend and she booked us into this hotel for our one night in Toulouse. It's really well located just off the Capitole. The rooms (23 and 24) were quiet (looked out onto a courtyard) and reasonably well sized. The bathrooms were good sized but only had the shower head in the bath type setup, not a proper shower on the wall. However, this was a minor issue. The only problem we noticed was that the plumbing was very noisy. When you flush the loo it initially fills with water and then it sounds like a pump kicks in to pump water into the cistern and it sounds like Airbus Industries must have designed it!! (Well, we are in Toulouse the home of Airbus after all....).
Our room for 2 was 65 euros and I think breakfast was about 10 more (I can't remember). Breakfast was buffet cereals, breads, tea, coffee, juice and was reasonably good.
All up, we were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel for the price. It was very good value. Of course, we only saw 2 rooms so I don't know what the others were like or what it would be like overlooking the street as it could be quite noisy. The hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren with corridors leading off in all directions and it's a bit confusing!!
The nearest car parking is underneath the Capitole square and it cost 16.5 euros for 24 hours.
The entrance to the hotel is on the right hand side of the street coming from the Capitole square and it is quite small and easy to miss. You press the button on the left hand side by the door and they open it from upstairs. You have a flight of stairs to climb up to reception.

We stayed for 3 nights at the start of a cycling tour along the Canal du Midi and one night on our return and found the hotel to be great value. Able to walk to the hotel from the bus stop for the bus from the Toulouse airport.
Room good, staff very helpful and as we cannot speak French, their English was appreciated.
We stayed there for the central location and value but mainly that we were able to leave our luggage in the locked office for the 10 days we were away.
Value for money - the breakfast was an extra cost and OK.

We stayed for one night having cycled from Blagnac and being seriously sleep deprived from a couple of nights previously. Was weirded out in the middle of the night by some strange nightmares, but that's probably more to do with the state we were in than anything else, still, has a funny old charm to it like somethin ancient made modern, due perhaps to the small chimney like shoots with windows facing one another that circulate air around old continental buildings. However, the hotel was very comfortable and the location was brilliant.

as toulouse does not have youth hostels we knew we werent going to be partying at a hostel, so we were happy to settle for a quiet hotel. the hotel du taur is in a great location right next to the captiole- 5 minute walk to place st pierre (great bars including the student bar chez ton ton), 5 minutes to the trendier place st georges (fine dining), and 2 mins to the main shopping street. for a good price you get very comfotable accomodation, and the people were kind eenough to keep yogurt and milk etc in their fridge and grab it whenever we wanted. they didnt mind us stumbling in at 3 am either! nice people! toulouse is a great city for clubs and bars and awesome people, everyones VERY friendly!!

you can hire REALLY cheap bikes if you dont like to walk- just means you can get everywhere in touolouse in under 10 minutes!!!! just behind the capitole next to the tourist information.

We had a family room which was quite large. The staff were very helpful. Very clean!!

We drove into town from the airport and had a little trouble finding the place. It is right off the main square and easy to find once oriented correctly. We had a lot of luggage and two babies, so we parked illegally in front of the hotel (on a one way street) and ran the luggage in (not really running since once must climb up a large staircase to get to the hotel.) There is a large car park under the main square.

The hotel has a very good location - many restaurants close by. If you don't mind the stairs and the luggage shuffle, it is a very good place to stay for the price.

Is located just steps from Capitole Plaza on a charming and bustling side street. Central to most points of interest, an easy walk to train station for day trips. All of the staff were courteous and helpful. Do note there is no elevator from street to reception level and rooms of similar rate can vary greatly by size and level of sun light. The room was clean and considering the tariff there was real value. We stayed for 10 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. When or if considering day trips, place Foix on your short list. Foix is a beautiful village that is not overrun by tourist.

This is a really good location. Rooms are nothing special, but it's certainly better than a lot of 2* out there. Clean and pleasant. I'd stay again - it's worth it just to be in the centre of town.
