I found this collection worth seeing, although a bit disappointing. The ambiance is unfriendly, however there are some interesting pieces, but overcrowded with less interesting stuff.

Another amazing private collection shown in a 'domestic' setting like the Jacquemart-Andre in Paris and the Doria Pamphilj in Rome. The house is a stunning merchant's house from the days when Toulouse's wealth was built on on the textile and dying trade. The collection is beautifully displayed, and although not all of the pieces are of the first order, there are some stunning gems in the collection. Three lovely Cranachs including the beautiful 'Venus and Cupid with the honeycomb' with Venus naked apart from a wonderful red hat and necklace. A whole room full of Bonnards. Some stunning Renoirs.

The museum is about three blocks from the main square, and on a busy road, yet hard to find. But once you are there, it is well worth the walk and the entrance fee. We particularly enjoyed their Impressionist art. I do wish the signage pointing you to the museum and clarifying the hours was better. We saw a sign in front that we interpreted as meaning that the museum was closed, and we almost left before trying the door.

Great collection of various arts. I saw several Picassos. Then there are other very good paintings, sculptures and tapstries, etc. The guided tour was well organized.

Well worth an afternoon to see this nice collection of art from the 16th -19th centuries in one of the most historic "hotel particuliers" in Toulouse, the Hotel Azezat. Ticket prices a little high for what you get (8 euros for adults). Rooms connect nicely. The free guide is helpful but more info would be better. Still a must see in Toulouse.
