Le Bistrot was on a list of places we wanted to eat in whilst in Toulouse. A bonus was that it was within a three minute walk of where we were staying, and it was a wet night.
We received the warmest of welcomes from the waiter( who in later conversation turned out to be the joint owner) and were asked if we wanted drinks. A glass of wine was suggested, and chosen, details of it's grape varieties offered, and matched well the dinner we were about to order. We ordered grilled red snapper with risotto, which was lovely and greatly enjoyed. Dishes being served to other tables close by looked generous and tasty, they included duck, lamb and steaks, all were eaten with apparent pleasure. One of us had to have a dessert and chose Cafe Gourmand, which to a pudding lover was a selection of five, yes five, small portions of house desserts along with a coffee. A visit from the chef (sister of the host and joint owner) who provided us with more details of the desserts just eaten was very welcome. Good value for money and only few minutes walk from Wilson Place. Visit and enjoy.
