Good meat restaurant in a chic neighborhood of Toulouse. It also has a terrace to seat at the street. The meat quality and the foigras are quite good, however do not expect fancy french cooking. It is basic cooking from south east France with very little fancy dish presentation. Good but expensive wine selection. Book in advance especially on weekends.

We appreciated this old restaurant in the heart of Toulouse, specialized in meat.
The terrace and "salles" are very nicely laid-out and the open wood fire on which the meats are grilled adds a nice touch.
I had a steak tartare and it was fabulous; excellently prepared and seasoned.
The dessert, a "soupe de fruits" was delicious and very refreshing.
Service was great though they did not find our reservation...

This tapas restaurant has a large choise, but nothing surprising.
Price level is ok.

In general, good , but nothing more.

There are some restaurants who are rammed because precious little else is open on a Sunday night in the holidays, yet there are others that are jam packed because they are sheer quality. La Braisiere is definitely in the latter camp.

We turned up at about 9.00pm and we had to sit inside because the restaurant was so busy. Not ideal as they BBQ the meat inside and it was rather warm! Still a quality Viognier for €13 took the edge off our thirst!

The menu read like a classic South Western French cookbook, our mains of cassoulet and gigot d'agneau were predictably outstanding. The cassoulet had the melting beans with the crisp skin of the confit duck...magic. The girlfriend's lamb was tender and flecked with herbs from Provence. The mountain of roast potatoes and salad were ace as well.

Special mention must go to our starter, a spring roll of duck and foie which was simply stunning. 2 courses, wine, digestifs and service for 70 euros. Happy days.

Great grilled meat restaurant with a large selection of delicious first courses, (including spectacular foie gras with onion relish, salads), specials, and desserts. The wines are reasonably priced and span a broad range.
