Looking for a nice french cuisine place, close to the old city center? Here’s one.
Smart service (eng spoken), clean and comfortable location, creative cuisine with wonderful pairs and reasonable prices.
If you’re looking for this, you won’t be disappointed.

We visited Sixty-Two during an impromptu stay in Toulouse. The restaurant is located right in the city center, in the back of what appears to be the entrance to a hotel. That doesn't detract from the dining experience though, yet the focus of the restaurant is on the food as the interior itself is quite basic and modern. A more dimly lit environment could have added more to the atmosphere. The food itself is anywhere on the scale between good and very good. The only real downside we found was the fact that, at the end of our dinner, we were asked rather abruptly to pay the bill during the middle of a conversation. That was the only thing that was out of place during our experience, overall the restaurant offered a good experience.

Went there for lunch - they have a set menu at 21 S/M M/D or 24 S/M/D which is reasonably priced for good quality food. Fast and efficient service. I just regret the price of the bottle of water is too high (6 euros)

The 3-course dinner menu was amazing, and the crab starter was especially our favourite - it was a truly special dish. Wine pairing was casual but very decent, as I do not think this restaurant as a dedicated sommelier. However, the experience was tainted by one of the waitstaff who had a bit of a bad attitude for no real reason.

When this guy was taking our food order, we asked to wait until we finish the two courses before deciding whether to order dessert (which was a standard practice in most restaurants) - he then strangely insisted that we should order right away as apparently "it would take a long time". Our dessert turned out to be a (non-pitted) peach with sorbet and a piece of biscuit, so I don't understand how that would actually "take a long time" for the kitchen to prepare. Also, we later experienced major issues trying to pay with credit card - we were the first table to pay that night and the card machine was acting up and declining all of our different credit cards (all 6 of them amongst both of us) and we had been trying to pay for at least 20 minutes. We were very certain that it was the problem with the card machine as we had no problems using the same cards earlier in the day. This (same) waiter guy, who wasn't even in charge of our payment, told us very rudely "it's your cards' problems, our card machine *ALWAYS WORKS*" and told us to run to an ATM to get cash. We were absolute appalled by that level of brashness and asked our waitress to see if she could get the machine reset, and it's only after the machine reset our card payments finally went through. We wanted to confront the waiter guy but he seemed to be hiding in the kitchen when we left, so I hope he was at least embarrassed about being wrong, if not being impolite.

That said, I want to emphasise that the rest of the waitstaff, especially the ladies, was extremely professional and friendly (and also apologetic about the card machine issue). I would recommend this restaurant to my friends, but would warn them to watch out for that rude waiter guy and his unpleasantness. This dude was probably the one bad apple who has been cutting everyone else's tips in half, to be honest.
