Lunchtime (not Mondays) relaxed atmosphere plus being above the market where all the fresh produce is actually "on your doorstep" means some great food is served here. Very difficult to find but look for a solid 'fire door' at the north western end of the market building and you can see the outside terrace for the individual restaurants from the street. take your time to study each place and decide. For meat you can eat at http://www.lelouchebem.com/ ... on his web site the owner explains that Louchebem is a sort of market slang meaning the 'boucher' so expect some good meat dishes here. Also on his web site he gives the Menu with many different meaty dishes - why not try the Toulouse sausage? Or if you are several then how about Côte de boeuf !
