This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel, each time with a coach party and each time has been a pleasure, the rooms are clean and spacious, I have always found the owners very friendly and helpful. Our room on the second floor had 2 balconies with a fantastic view and new modern bathroom. The food served in the restaurant was excellent, the waiters polite and charming. Good value for money and maybe 1 day I will visit for a 3 rd time.

Perfect setting, rooms at the front of hotel nicer, good value for money. Location great, optional breakfast and parking was always a available although not plentiful! Would have enjoyed aircon and would have paid more for the luxury! Overall excellent value for money.

We stayed in Building 2 which is just outside the city gates & close to their car park which was great for us (the main building is within the city gates). Parking is an issue in Rocamadour as the streets are narrow and it's very busy - you could end up parking a long way from your hotel & walking with luggage uphill/downhill on cobbled streets would not be much fun, so this was excellent for us. The room was quite small, basic but clean & the bed was comfortable. neat bathroom with shower & hairdryer. We ate in their restaurant (opposite the main building) which has lovely views over the valley & the fixed price menus were very good value, with good local food. Breakfast (again in the restaurant) was juice, hot drink, cereals, bread, croissants & jams - this is the usual French breakfast, so don't expect Full English on the menu in any hotel in France. Rocamadour , although very busy with tourists, is a most spectacular city, built into the cliffs & with fabulous scenery. It's part of the Pilgrim's Way so the Sanctuaire ( Church) is the focal point - it makes you wonder how on earth they built such a magnificent building into a sheer rock face. If you can, go down to the road at the bottom of the valley where you get a view of the whole city perched up high. There is a small open topped tourist bus & a road train, but there's also a lift which takes you from street level to the Sanctuaire & another from the Sanctuaire to the Chateau (which is closed to the public, but you can walk the ramparts).

we were lucky to find this hotel while touring on our motorcycles, the owner and his English wife were charming. We had secure parking for our bikes. The hotel room was very comfortable and very clean. We could not have had a better stay - excellent all round.

Room Tip: this hotel has two locations, both excellent and in the centre.

Read some of the reviews with some concern but took the chance and stayed for 3 nights...so glad we did. The room was smallish but spotlessly clean with fluffy towels and a brand new bathroom with modern and stylish fittings. The view was breath taking wherever you looked. We ate at the restaurant for 2 nights, the price range met anyone's budget and the quality and quantity was fantastic. We were so pleased we asked to stay an extra night, they had a coach trip arriving and our room was on the lower floor which they wanted in case anyone couldn't manage stairs easily. They gave us the keys to two available rooms and let us choose the room which was better for us. We had a triple room for the price of a double with a very large bathroom and the most stunning view you could ever imagine. The staff and owners couldn't have been more helpful and will return here in the summer. There were two coach parties who very clearly received excellent service and a priority treatment and were really happy with this.

Any tour operator that values its reputation should avoid this hotel, as coach parties receive third class treatment even though staying for several nights. Cramped restaurant with no choice of food at evening meal, and no warning of what is dumped in front of you - take it or leave it attitude. Flies on breakfast food, tasteless cornflakes the only cereal. Male proprietor very surly and unfriendly, policing breakfast to ensure minimum expenditure. Very little storage space in depressing old rooms.
