“Exciting Monkey Forest”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

Visiting this forest is different from visiting a zoo. Children love it! Educating, good spaces for the monkeys, important goal to keep the species.

“Such cute creatures in a natural environment”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

Visiting here in May is probably very different to visiting here in the height of the season. When we arrived early afternoon, there were very few people about but lots of monkeys. Some in very playful mood and it was fun to watch them play fighting with each other. When you arrive, you are given a handful of popcorn with which to feed them. They are so photogenic so make sure that you take your camera and a spare card and battery, you will take loads of photos! There is a large car park, clean toilets, a picnic area and a shop selling food.

“Very interesting, worth a visit”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

We wanted to see the monkeys and as we passed this on the way into the Medieval City, we stopped. It was quite a hot day and I think the monkeys were a little bored of the visitors. However, this is predominantly a breeding programme, and the talk the guide gave was very interesting. Well worth the visit, and a nice walk around the area, the children fed the monkeys the popcorn you get at the entrance and they loved it. It was very safe, and very pleasant, and with the little playground beside the car park, it was great for the children too.

“Superb!”
Reviewed August 29, 2012 via mobile

Visited alongside a trip to Rocamadour. We went mid morning before it was too busy or too hot. What a great experience! You were able to feed the monkeys popcorn (provided with a handful each on entry) and see them playing. They have a great habitat and looked happy and healthy. Rangers are on hand at various points and were happy to answer any questions. For us, the best bit by far was seeing a group of young monkeys (2-3 months old) playing and feeding. They were so active and fearless! A great experience for adults and children alike.

“Monkeying around”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

Good visit for an hour or so. Cute little things, technically not monkeys at all. I would advise to visit during the morning, as the Monkeys/Apes are wide awake and not too full of popcorn, any later and they would be fast asleep and not much fun to watch at all.
