“Average and pricey but food excellent”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

This hotel is in a lovely situation a couple of kms out of Rocamadour with a pool and a lovely al fresco dining area under a huge tree. However, rooms are a little tired, particularly bathrooms which (typical of many French places) only have a hand shower over the bath. Pricing was expensive for what it was at 89euro per person for half-board. Service on the hotel side was a bit lax and seemed disinterested, but service at dinner was great. I would say the food was excellent at dinner with the beef main being one of the best we've had anywhere. The dining outdoors was enjoyable and we would have happily paid the standard price for dining but the room (even subtracting dinner cost) was expensive for what it was. Breakfast was fairly ordinary by comparison with similar places we've stayed.

My sister and I recently stayed here at the end of our hiking holiday. The swimming pool was so welcome after long hot day hiking. The location is peaceful and pastoral with lovely views from the pool area. The hotel room was very comfortable; as someone else remarked there is quite a bit of sound from other rooms especially in the night.
We enjoyed eating on the terrace but found the menu to be a bit limited. There was more duck - choices than anything else and if we had wanted the fish main course we would have had to pay a surcharge which was disappointing.
Restaurant service was very good, breakfast was tasty and the coffee was good which is always appreciated.

One minor point - I wish they had provided towels for the swimming pool. We stayed 2 nights and none of the supplies in the washroom were refreshed on the second day except our very wet towels. Also there was no shower other than a nozzle in the bathtub.

This hotel in totally peaceful countryside is within easy walking distance of the famous village of Rocamadour. The food is outstanding and the choice of local wines excellent. French cuisine at its best. We stayed 2 nights and walked via L'Hospitalet to the stunning Rocamadour.

Stayed for two nights with family. We were extremely delayed on arrival but the owner waited to greet us and allowed us a bottle of wine. Location is slightly out of the town and quite hard to find but in a lovely quiet location, each room decorated in a homely style and very clean. My room had a new bathroom with a great power shower. Only slight let down was breakfast as it is very minimal continental style but would definitely stay again.

Small, friendly hotel. We booked just one night on the way from Perpignan to Calais and were very impressed with the quiet, rural location, the clean rooms, sparkling pool, delicious food and lovely atmosphere, Will return for a week and tour the area more thoroughly. Well worth visiting!

Room Tip: All have good views, some share balcony with tables and chairs overlooking the pool

Outstanding and certainly well presented 5 star food, delicious local delicacies with a must have the sensational tart tatin! Breakfast typically french with additional home made cake. Rooms small & typically a barn conversion so sadly noisy but tactfully decorated & comfy beds. re other review we found the heating powerful when we fell asleep for an afternoon nap. Lovely pool & outlook. Good position for sight seeing.

Stayed here two nights at the end of March while visiting Rocamadour and loved it. Arrived around 8 p.m. and got a warm welcome even though we were a bit late and they were busy with dinner guests. Rooms are in what seems to be a beautifully re-done farm house/barn, real old-world charm, but with mod cons. Room was immaculately clean and well-appointed. Heating was great on a somewhat chilly evening.

We ate our evening meal here both nights. After eating here the first night, there was absolutely no reason to bother going anywhere else. Between my husband and myself we tried everything on the menu and every dish was excellently prepared. Wonderful local cuisine in a rustic, but classy atmosphere. Be sure to try the cassoulet. We even got great recommendations on our wine selection.

In short, very nice accommodation and wonderful restaurant in a serene pastoral setting. I would love to go back during better weather and spend a week just relaxing there. It would be a great place for a wedding or reunion. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. Be sure to pick up a copy of their booklet on the shrines of Rocamadour and take it with you into town. Very informative.

As to location, it's about 15 min. walk to the village of Le Hospitalet and another 15 or so into Rocamadour. As it was raining off and on, we drove to Le Hospitalet and parked and walked into Rocamadour. We did take an evening walk into Le Hospitalet on our second night where we got a great view of Rocamadour all lit up.
