Like some of your other reviewers the choice was dictated by its location at the foot of the Grand Stairs and a rush to find somewhere to eat quickly. Staff very friendly and very efficient: a bowl of water was brought for our dog without having to ask for it. Pleasant surroundings sitting on the terrace, which was reasonably packed with other tourists and enjoying lunch. Our group of 4 had 2 18€ menus, 1 23€ menu and 1 a la carte. The food was fairly priced, bearing in mind the area and served hot and efficiently.

Rocamadour is a tourist destination, that said l'Alzou delivers good food and great service. We were walking locally so after 3pm back to the villllage. Most places including our hotel did not understand the world no longer only eats lunch between 12 and 3 ! L'Alzou offers good value food all day with great service and good prices .. Try it !

We ate out on the terrace last year and enjoyed it so returned again this tear.

We opted for the €18 menu and had pâté followed by cassoulet and finished off with ile flottante ( meringue floating on creme anglaise). The food was good, and reasonably priced, but the views from the terrace are amazing.

We choose to just have the table water with our meal, as we are a group of six this saves €18 per meal, and the children have coke when they get home. This may sound tight but we eat out about 10 times on holiday and this equates to over £150!

We will defiantly go back if we are in Rocamadour again.
