I cannot but confirm the previous opinions reported from other travelers: Helgon Hotel is a good hotel, excellent if compared to most of the hotels we saw in Lourdes, with very good value for money.
Staff is very friendly and smiling and they speak a lot of languages - Italian in our case- so if you don’t speak French properly there is no problem.
Hotel is very clean and newly decorated, rooms are big enough and nicely decorated, they are very quiet too (no sounds of steps, doors slamming, voices on the other side etc) so we could sleep perfectly.
Breakfast is of average quality, but you are offered croissant, bread with jam and butter, madeleines, yogurt, juice and fruit salad.. not bad after all!
Last but not least, its position is a plus: very near the Grotto (5 minutes walking from the Porte St. Joseph entrance) but not on the main streets, so peace is assured.

We will return there for sure if back in Lourdes!

Stayed with my family in two separate rooms at this excellent hotel for 2 nights. We are all more than satisfied with this hotel, finally some fresh air amidst all the "oldish" hotels in Lourdes. We strongly recommend this hotel for various reasons : hotel is extremely clean and freshly/modern decorated, rooms spacious and nicely furnished, bathrooms(most important) are all new with no signs of mould in grouting, spacious and toilet is separate from shower which is a plus when more than one member of the party needs to wash and get ready. Breakfast is simple but in large quantities and good quality. Extremely near the grotto but at the same time away enough from that hustle and bustle to make it a hotel with great location.
Last but not least I must thank all the staff for their extreme hospitality and politeness. They have all helped us in our needs, be it from a simple baby bottle warm water fill up to recommending the best restaurants around. A special thank you to the blond receptionist who went out of her way to keep us a parking spot when we could not find any!
100% recommended to all who visit Lourdes!!

Room Tip: I am not sure whether it was only in our rooms but there was no mini bar, not much for consuming drinks or snacks but mostly since I was travelling with a newborn baby I needed to keep some milk cold while there.

I stayed at the Helgon Hotel for one night in early October 2011. It was a very good experience. I would like to warmly recommend this hotel. Staff are really nice and helpful, both at the reception desk and in the restaurant. Rooms are bright and nicely furnished with a well working and silent air conditioning. Bathroom are spacious and new. Breakfast was not included but I decided to reserve it when I booked the room and it was a very good idea : not many choices per category but all was available in big quantities and all was of good quality. The location is also excellent. It is very close (5 minutes walk at slow pace) to the Santuary but it is on a quiet road, away from the most crowded streets, where all the shops are.

We stayed in the Hotel Helgon in Lourdes in Sept 11, Lourdes itself is a beautiful place, make sure you visit the information centre as they have guided prayers and tours of the shrine, including the path of Bernadette, all conducted by volunteers, Hotel Helgon is in a quite side street, the hotel is very clean, and well maintained, we stayed B & B the breakfasts were ample including breads, cheese, ham, yougurts, cereals, cakes coffee, tea, and fruitjuice. The hotel had a few pilgrims booked in at the same as us, but this did not affect our stay, the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Would stay in Hotel again.

Room Tip: The higher floors have better views of the Pyrenees Mountains.

Very warm, simple and pleasant place to stay during my recent trip with my wife! Would definetly go back for a repaet visit. Had the wonderful opportunity to meet the night staff on duty on thursday (Laurent) who could not speak english but we manage to communicate some how! Very helpful staff also whom we encountered during the day! Good proximity to the religious articles shops and cafe just outside the grotto.
