“Good value hotel that is well located.”
Reviewed August 11, 2012 via mobile

There's not much to say about this hotel other than its a good, clean small hotel. Rooms are clean and reasonably appointed, and the location is great, being within walking distance of the main attractions in Lourdes but far enough away from the crowds to be very quiet and allow you to sleep well. Half the rooms look over a cemetery, which lies in the shadows of the Pyrenees, making for a very picturesque view from the window.

Breakfasts were reasonable with good, but not spectacularly good, French food. WiFi is fast and free.

The only complaint I have is with the narrow spiral staircase (which is not uncommon in French buildings of this era). If you are like us and prefer to use stairs, then you'll find considerable difficulty navigating it with your luggage as it is continuous and disorienting. If you prefer lifts, then this isn't a problem.

Overall, a good value, well priced hotel that gives you everything you need and nothing you don't.

I stayed here in the first week of July with my parents (in their 70s) and found the location of the hotel ideal for visiting the Sanctuary. It is literally 2 mins walk to a public lift that you take to avoid a slightly steep walk towards the Santuary/Grotto. The room would have been spacious but as we needed the sofa to be converted to a third bed for me, it was bearably cramped. The kitchenette is God-sent as we were able to prepare small meals in the evenings when my parents were too tired to eat out. No complaints about the cleanliness of the room. The breakfast could be improved upon. Overall, it is a hotel which is good value and in a good location.

Great hotel few mins walk to all attractions would definitely stay again I would admit cleaning could be a touch better thus the rating.

Paid about £120.00 for 3 nights including city taxes paid at hotel.

Didn't use hotel restaurants as we decided to opt for Le Magret restaurant (I had the pork:) ) which was admittedly amazing my partner says the foie gras in London cannot match, though personally I can’t stand the stuff. Did set us back around 80euro with bottle of wine so can't complain for top quality food. One massive disappointment

Bar Leffe is by far the best bar when it’s open and Le Palacio is great food too attractions are all cheap so won't break the bank so I say splash out on some great grub and beverages on offer. We also came across a small billiards hall Le Triangle with the old fashioned table football and pool again really cheap to waste some hours in the evenings.

It was really quiet when we stayed as it was Feb 2012 it snowed so we had to land at Biarritz then get a coach back to Lourdes, we flew Ryanair flight from Stansted but was easy enough with no real delay barring the transfer via coach back to Lourdes Airport. And cabs about 20-25 euro into town don't pay more,

Stayed in this aparthotel twice in the last month and enjoyed both my visits. Centrally located to both the town and the Grotto but in a quiet area so easy to sleep.
Great little kitchenette with fridge, microwave, hotplates and even a dish washer! on my second visit they had added an electric kettle which was better than boiling a pan of water.
Only negatives was NO english chanels on the TV and the air con made an occasional hum even though it was turned off
I will be staying there again.

I stayed here for 3 nights on November 2011. I was pretty surprised to see my room. It looked like that the room was not cleaned properly or was not cleaned at all. I saw some greases on the table, dust on night lamps, stained couch, dirty towels and dirty floor. Perhaps the hotel was clean and good in the past but not anymore now.

Very good value for long or short stay. I really enjoyed staying at this nice clean spacious quiet friendly flat hotel and just a few minutes walk to the sanctuary, shops and restaurants. The kitchenette is great for eating in and making late night hot drinks especially when you are too tired to sit around in coffee shops after an evening procession. I would highly recommend this hotel and will certainly come back again.

Good value if booking via booking.com as it has good discount. Staff are friendly but not all the staff speak English so it may be frustrating. If you are travelling with a family the cot they provide is a playpen so there is no mattress for the bambino. I put my little one on the sofa bed and paded it up so she wouldn't roll off. The kitchen is sufficient and if you need a kettle etc just ask the staff and they will happily procure one. The apartments are not luxurious but clean and well kept. The hotel is also well located close to restaurants and the Sanctuary.
