We went many times to this hotel in the past. The service is impeccable, the room was clean and very well furnished with with a large TV set and a nice shower/tub. The room facing the mountains on the back of the hotel was very quiet. This hotel is convenientlt located closed to the railways station, Avis rent a car and from the Lourdes Grotto.

Room Tip: Select a room on the back and high floor.

Enjoyed the hotel stay, the staff and the location. Room was small but comfortable. Recommend a room with a view as it is just beautiful...worth the extra charge. Room was clean and always maintained. Appreciated the extra pillows.

We stayed in a family room on the top floor - room was OK - large enough, but nothing to shout about. Still, it was only really somewhere to sleep, and for that, it was fine. There were spare pillows and blankets as well, which I like as one pillow is never enough!
The bathroom was clean and modern, with a good shower. There were two basins, which was fine, but it left no room to put out your toiletries!
The bar was in the restaurant, and although it was ok, it wasn't the sort of place you could relax with a drink for long. The food itself was tasty, and reasonably priced. Breakfast was plentiful, though I thought it was quite pricy, at about 10 euros.
Parking was not a problem, and was free.
It was about a 10 minute walk into the centre of Lourdes, so was ideally situated for sightseeing.

Stayed here for one night as part of biking tour around france. The hotel is very well presented, the staff are professional and very helpful. The rooms were pleasant and the location was very central to everything. Parking area lacked a garage but was ok. We'd readily stay here again.

Nice enough hotel, easy walking distance to town and just across the road from the train station. There are lovely views from the back of the hotel across the town and across to the Pyrénées.

Rooms are pretty small and if you get one on the top floor you can pretty much forget standing up in the shower. Doesn't have a decent bar either and some of the décor is a bit tired. Basically don't expect (or pay) too much and you'll be happy enough.

I stay at this hotel for 3 days. We booked room for 3 peoples. Our room was small but quite comfort. The hotel location was very close to the rail station and the Intercity bus shuttle.

If you go to Lourdes from Paris or Nevers (Espace Bernadette) using Euro Train, then the hotel is appropriate for you, because the hotel was easy to find. It was located in the front of the Lourdes Rail Station. So, no need taxi transfer from/to the Rail station. And the location was very helpful, when we need morning trip by train next days.

If you go for pilgram to Grotto, the transportation is so easy. From the hotel you can go by Intercity bus, and the bus shelter was very close to the hotel. The tariff for intercity bus is quite cheap. It was only EUR 1.20 for one way. This Intercity bus also available in the night after torch procession. So in our opinion the hotel was easy to accessed.

My negative comments is only that the Internet didn't not function along our 3 days stay. They promise us that the Internet will function normally on our third day, but it did not work until we check out. We are realy upset about this. Because we are really need the internet to communicate with family and check travel information.

The coffe shop owned by the hotel was good, we order coffee and the taste was good. The breakfast was not included in room rates, and quite expensive.

Overall we enjoy our stay here. We recommend this hotel for those peoples that using train as your inter city transportation in French.

My suggestion for the hotel management is only please activate the Internet access because this facility mentioned in customer booking confirmation, and I saw many complaints about this on TRIP ADVISOR.

Hope this review can improve the hotel service, so other customer will enjoy this hotels without any negative comments.

I Love Lourdes Very much.. Really enjoy our trip to this city! :-D

Room Tip: Room with Phyreens mountain view really amazing..

I was in Lourdes to set up a business, not for a pilgrimage. Very beautiful setting in the winter, snow on the hills.

The location of the Best Western is very convenient to everywhere, but then Lourdes is a very compact, walkable city. The hotel is just across from the train station.

The room was very clean, the shower had good force and was hot. The bed was firm, but comfortable. Blanket, no duvet. Room frequently seemed warm, but I could open a terrace door and get some cool air in. Adjusted the thermostat, not sure if that made a difference. TV had 30 French channels, 2 English language news channels, but that's okay, not there to watch TV.

Breakfast was the usual continental, and a bit DIY. Coffee freely available to pour, but you had to ask for a pot of tea. You could boil up your own egg, if you liked, and also make your own toast. Rest was the usual croissants, brioche, fruit, meats, cheese, yogurts, and fruit juices. The breakfast room seemed a bit on the cool side, for a winter's day, would have liked it warmer.

Compliments to the staff. Though a bit thin on the ground--they were trying to cover both the front desk and the breakfast room simultaneously, but this is the off-season--they were always very courteous, and did their best with English.

To cut to the chase, the major failing was the lack of wi-fi. Though free wi-fi is advertised, and we were given instructions on how to connect, none of the 3 of us--2 Apple laptops, and 1 Dell laptop--were able to raise any websites. Gmail worked, as did google, that was odd. But nothing else did. Some kind of permissions restriction? We did complain the next day, and the lady at the desk took note. But we got no better result the rest of the week. Very frustrating, as we were depending on a wi-fi connection for both business and personal reasons.

If you have no need for wi-fi, this is a pretty good hotel, and I can recommend it. If you need wi-fi, then forget about it. Maybe they have fixed it, but reliability is suspect. I would have given 4 stars, but the internet failure definitely drops it to 3 stars.

Room Tip: There are roads to either side, the front probably a lot busier, so quieter facing south. Better vie...
