“The perfect hotel in the perfect location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2012

I have now stayed at the Logis Sur Ciel on three occasions, all were fantastic. I wouldnt stay anywhere else.

The village of Cordes is stunning, you can see why it is one of the top tourist destinations in France. The Logis Sur Ciel is right in the heart of the village, perfectly located to wander the many alley ways and restaurants located around the town.
The Logis Sur Ciel is a magnificent conversion of two grand houses into a very welcoming enclave. Starting with the two cool interior courtyards, very welcoming when it can be very hot in summer, there are two sets of stairs up to the beautifully appointed rooms. Everything is clean and modern, done with great taste. Its also amusing to see how bags are taken up to the rooms, using a modern take on a medieval design!

The hosts are absolutely charming, seem to speak every language under the sun, and we're incredibly helpful to me in guiding me on things to do and see in the area around, called Tarn. Roel is a real craftsman and if you are lucky he will show you some of the details he has created himself that decorate the hotel.

I travel up to 200 days a year on business and stay in hundreds of hotels, this remains my favourite, I only wish work could bring me here more often.

Room Tip: Go for the rooms at the top for fantastic views and your own terrace. My favourite room is called &q...

A very dear friend of ours own a B&B in the south of France that we visited last year. To describe this place as a magic place taken from the 15th century would be an understatement. Our host and friend Roel has converted a piece of history into a beautiful B&B that was painstakingly put together by him where it still has the feeling from the past yet updated and modern rooms with views that were unforgettable. The breakfast served was French cuisine at it best. The town is filled with history and is at your doorstep. The intimate nature of this terrific place made us feel like we had landed in a land of magic. We highly recommend this B&B. There are numerous towns in the vicinity that we visited that were equally memorable such as Albi now a UNESCO world heritage site. This wonderful inn is one hour from Toulouse by car and it will be a memory that will be forever etched in your mind.

You soon understand why the town is called Cordes SUR CEIL as everything is up, up, up. But so worth the climb, once we'd figured out where to park. Our stay at Logis Sur Ceil was a total delight. The authentically renovated interior of the ancient building in which the hotel is situated is almost as spectacular as the view from our very comfortable, spacious, airy room. Over 15 years in the making, we were told. And what a view! The highlight was sitting on the seemingly suspended-in-air balcony in the evening, enjoying a glass of local wine and listening to the chorus of owls and frogs calling from the woodlands far below. You can't help but slow down, relax and take it all in. The Logis is perfectly situated for an on-foot exploration of the old town (driving in not an option) and close to at least two excellent restaurants. A truly memorable establishment and one of the highlights (pun intended) of our trip across southern France.
