Wonderfully unique 17th building in the old town in Castres. The owners have taken real pride in furnishing the hotel from top to bottom with all kinds of decor and themed rooms and suites. We stayed on the Asiatique Jnr Suite and the room was enormous with beamed high ceiling, and very luxurious, with lots of quirky and interesting furnishings including costumed mannequins.
The hotel room was very quiet. Parking using the 'valet' service offered at €12 per day was worth doing as the streets around the hotel are very narrow and little parking available. Good buffet breakfast.
If you're looking for something a bit unusual this is the place for you!

My wife and I met our daughter and her boyfriend (who was in Castres for business) here and fell in love with the Hotel, the owners and the area. We stayed for 10 days and in our daily jaunts around the country found it so comforting when we returned to the Renissance. My wife and I had the Renissance room. The decorations were eclectic and charming as was the entire hotel. Michel was just so friendly and warm. I would bet that for over half our stay, Michel would see our party either leaving early in the morning or arriving later in the day and invite us, compliments of himself, to join him and his wife and/or nephew in the lounge for cocktails. The drinks were fantastic, the food was delicious and more importantly, the conversation and friendship was priceless. I apologize for waiting almost a year to post this, but after reading the lone negative post, I just had to respond as it is/was totally out of character to anything myself or my family encountered.

We are so glad we found this little gem...from the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel really welcome. The owners spoke English and always seem to be around. The decor is fab and the little rooms and outside space is so quaint....this is worth checking out

The owner/manager from arrival was absolutely fantastic. She was so pleasant and helpful, and even upgraded us to a suite as it was our honeymoon, and also gave us a lovely gift when we left. The hotel has so much character and the owners clearly take pride in their service and I cannot fault the place at all. The valet parking worked really well also, so I recommend using that. An up and coming town with some great character and surrounding area, and the perfect place to stay within it.

Good fun hotel environment in a central location. Rooms seem to be over-furnished with bric as brac but it all adds to an unusual , slightly bohemian, ambiance. Very accomodating staff but ( minor niggle) shame the bar was not open. Wnen we tried with no obvious effort to do so in future.
